Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe

Although the hotel and the staff was amazing I had a scary experience since me and my children were staying in a room that had a connecting door, and the guest next door decided that he/she would bang and kick the door at around 10pm which freaked my children out. I calle front desk and they did make changes to our room to a different floor. But it was still a horrible moment & couldn’t get a good night after that scared.

customer service was terrible- we were multiple rooms & at a regilious family function and couldnt come in to check in in person - had to leave the feast to come check in, couldnt check in our other guest - my family member checked in later in the evening- they gave up their room after they paid in full for it- they had to take our double bed room while we took the king, the room stunk like cigerattes - we did not sleep all night & were dying with our allergies- personal items from previous guest were found on the floor- it was disgusting- super disappointed weve stayed there a couple times and every time seems to have a problem- not going back - BEYOND rude manager

Well, we had some bugs in my room. I got one and brought that to the front desk to change the room. A guy in the front desk said they have no more rooms. He wanted to inspect my room together. He came to my room with me with another house keeping lady. They found some more bugs in my room. The lady said the housekeeper left the window open, so bugs entered the room. After that, the front desk guy said he will change the room. He came back to me with new room keys and breakfast coupons. I am very disappointed how bad their housekeeping is. Definitely it was worse than 2 star hotels. Also, the front desk guy was lying and doesn’t trust the customer. Most of the front desk staff are so unprofessional regarding how they handle the complaints. They also have a swimming pool which closes at 4 PM. Also, kids are not allowed in the swimming pool. There was no front desk staff informed us that the pool is adult only.

My family (2 adults 2 kids) enjoyed our stay. Check in was a breeze. The hotel has plenty to off, although we didn't get to take advantage of any. Early in the am around 7 the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. At that moment communication to guest could have been a little smoother. When we noticed that we were the only family of a slight few to exit the hotel, I had to call (luckily my son's phone is attached to his palm) for further assistance. Then, within 15 minutes of returning to the hotel, the alarm sounded again. This time I called before evacuating and the message relayed to me led me to believe that we didn't need to evacuate the first time. The mattresses are far too soft for my liking. It causes you to slid and lean. The housekeepers did an amazing job of keeping the room cleaned. They even passed my secret test. The 2 things that could've made the stay a little better for me would have been a microwave in the room being that the hotel doesn't offer continental breakfast. The boys would've had the best stay ever (their words) if there was a swimming pool.

Booked this to stay closer to the American dream water park. The room (709) was underwhelming. I had expected carpet in the room but it was vinyl plank and ceramic tile. It was slippery and cold. The bathroom door was a barn style sliding door that seemed very dangerous because it was just resting on the rails and if you opened or close it too fast it will run off the rail. The door also didnt have a lock. It also had gaps on both sides of the door. The beds were advertised to be two queen size but they were two full size. You can see that the mattress doesn’t fit on the platform so we all ended up hitting the corners multiple times and getting bruised/scratched up. The window did not lock properly (it can open just with a slight tug) and it seemed like a hazard. The water in the tub was slow to drain so I was stepping in an inch or two of water while showering. Someone took the body wash canister and the housekeeping didnt replace it so we just used the bar soap. Super drying. Good thing it was only one night. The breakfast is not included. This is not a family friendly hotel. This is a business hotel for one night travelers only.

We gathered at the Glenpoint Marriott for a family function nearby. We've stayed here before. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly, and the bar service first rate. The bed itself was not comfortable...too firm...as was the divan which was hard as a rock when trying to sit or recline on/in it. Also, the thermostat, seemingly simple, was in fact not...Heat vs A/C was not clear from the few buttons available to push.

Been coming here since I was 8 years old for various occasions and now I'm 38 yrs old with a baby. Property always looks modern and is well maintained.
