We have two young children (3 and 7). We got a two bedroom suite which was great but the layout was funky; the two full beds were close to the door and the queen was on its own bedroom. Not a huge deal but I would rather us (the adults) but the exit/door versus kiddos. The place was clean, a little outdated, but the property was quiet for the most part (it is right off the highway so the noise is going to be there). Nice pool, too. Overall, a decent stay and might stay there again.

The staff was very nice and professional but unfortunately the room was filthy. The floors were sticky in the bathroom and the bathtub was so dirty that we had to put a towel in it to take our showers . The room smelled like mold and the whole experience was very bad . We do not recommend with children especially since the bathtub is disgusting . I would never wash my toddlers in there . The carpet seemed wet all the time. We will not go back to this hotel if ever we are in Portsmouth.

I wish I had read reviews on google and expedia before booking here! The images are very deceptive! Upon checking in all seemed okay however it went downhill fast! For the positives: this place is close to town via a short DRIVE (NOTHING is within walking distance). The beds were somewhat comfortable, but 3 or 4 pillows equals 1 normal pillow. The front desk staff is nice. I feel they know what a dump this is and really try to be helpful. That's it for positives. For the many negatives: The bathroom has black mold in several areas! The room is very worn and outdated. The carpet was stretched out w wrinkles we would trip over constantly. The kitchen is a disgusting outdated joke. The fridge froze all of our fiod and ruined it. My kids have bigger tvs in their bedrooms lol. I would not suggest walking barefoot here!!! Now for the outside.... peeling pain everywhere and just rundown. After reading reviews the management states "renovations & painting" are being completed throughout the propety.... those statements were SEVERAL MONTHS before my stay here yet still there is flooring unfinished and stairs to the 2nd floor closed for "painting". By the 3rd night I realized this was a property had "residents". I have never in my life stayed somewhere where these type of characters where LIVING! Its not hard to figure out whovis a short term "guest "and who is "living" at the property. Most notable was the junkie addict living at the property with her son

I'm not sure whose fault it is - Port Inn or Hotels.com - but we booed a stay for 5, 2 adults, 3 children. When we arrived the room slept 4. When I said something the receptionist said 'expedia keeps doing this, we don't have rooms for 5'. So... not great. They gave us a blow up twin with a 'we are supposed to charge for it but we won't'. It was a tight fit and we ended up checking out a day early. The staff was otherwise nice but we won't be back.

Really liked the place, though was quite dated. Bathroom window wouldn't open, people smoking weed in the parking lot and only 2 towels for a junior suite that is supposed to sleep up to 6 (we were 4, but still two towels?

The Portsmouth Inn and Suites was very nice. We stayed in a junior suite which worked out well for our family of 4. Staff was very kind.

We stayed here because of it's proximity to the hospital before an early morning appointment. Here are the negatives. The room we got located on the lower floor of the main building, near the maintenance area. It was small with low ceilings, only one window and a door that did not fit properly with light coming in around it. Had a wall shaker AC unit that was noisy. Swimming pool shut down. Complimentary breakfast was coffee, a waffle maker, some packaged "baked" goods and juices. 3 pieces of fruit in a basket. It was on par with a road side motel in the south. Positives: Staff was personable. Bed was comfortable. Close to the hospital. If this room was less than $75/night, no issues. At over $200/night? You got to be kidding me.

This hotel was ok. Beds were comfortable. There was a lingering smoke scent in my room but not in the rest of our families rooms. Breakfast options were pretty good. The pool was nice but it closed way too early for the summer, closes at 8pm. We always like to go in the pool after we’re are back from dinner/sightseeing, should be open until at least 10.
