Sleep Inn Londonderry

1st room smelled musty and like someone puked in the bathroom. They rectified the issue immediately and provided another room. It would have been nice to know that breakfast was only open until 10 on the weekends. With 2 kids in tow getting down there a little after 9 on a weekday and finding most everything put away was disturbing. We have only ever found 1 hotel bed that was comfortable, so that was no surprise. All in all it was an ok place to stay.

Pool closes at 8 and opens at 10. We arrived at the hotel at 830 and I had 2 very disappointed kids. Pool hours should be changed some but otherwise it was ok for a quick one night stay. Also had to pay cash for drinks. No card option on the vending machine.

I booked this property for my kids to swim in the pool. I have friends in town and family in the next town over, so I didn't need it for any other reason. When we went, there were 2 teenagers being extremely unsafe (ie: whipping a ball, jumping off the edge, splashing on purpose, etc). My 7 and 4yo were so nervous- they got large gulps of water in their mouths, were jumped on, and they were hit multiple times with the ball, along with our belongings that were then soaked. When I brought this up to staff, I was told that their father (who was not even in the pool area) was extremely difficult, and therefore the staff said nothing. The kids were not even 14 (the age to be in the pool by themselves). I get dealing with difficult parents, as a teacher myself, but this was the ONLY reason that I booked this hotel. It was a complete waste of money, and my children wanted to leave after 20 minutes because of those teens.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had reserved two rooms and one was available early which was great. The pool area was open until 8, but the supervision of kids under 14 was not enforced so it was a little wild in there. Our room was nice however the bathroom door was a slide out and it was very tight and my daughter could not easily get in and out, nor could the adults really. For the price and one night it was fine.

We traveled to the area from far away and called the hotel a day prior to make sure we would have the accommodations for the entire family. First, the gentleman over the phone assured me that we would be able to do early check in at a fee. When we got there 4 hours prior, we were told by a grumpy lady at the desk that they did not have a room and couldn’t do that for us. We ended up having to wait around the area with little children which is not too comforting given we didn’t have plans in the area that day. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone also assured us that we would be able to request a cot upon arrival to make sure all in the family had a place to sleep. At night when we called the front desk to request it, they denied it and said they couldn’t give us one due to fire hazard, yet we were told it was do-able upon arrival. One of the family members ended up sleeping on the floor since their supposed queen size beds were more like full size and couldn’t fit more than 2 people uncomfortably. The worst part of the stay was the unpleasant smell of cannabis lurking through the hallways and entrance of hotel mixed with a smell of floor cleaner that didn’t mask it. The pool was another situation as we were told over the phone it closed at 10. Once at the hotel, it was another story…the pool closed at 8 pm. Furthermore, the pool resembled that of a lake with green algae. At the bottom of the pool floor looked like brown stuff floating…don’t stay here with family or kids.

I love this hotel. The only problem I had was that we had kids with us and the second floor hallway reeked of pot. When I told the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do because they wouldn’t be able to pinpoint the room.

The place smelled like smoke and the rooms were worse. My child begged me to leave. Pubic hair in the shower and the toilet wouldn’t flush.

Staff are miserable. Guy at desk was just outright rude. Can't ask questions or you get looked at like you have 5 heads and then talked down to like you are a child. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Hair on floor, in shower, on door, and on the toilet. Floor was sticky so we had to put shoes on everytime we needed to use the bathroom. The noise was absurd. Slamming doors. Stomping on floors above us. Banging on the walls next to us. Not a good night's sleep at all. Very disappointed in this booking.

The room was nice with good extras. The one thing which could use improvement was the shower. The bottom was a bit slippery so would recommend a non-skid mat or something similar. Other than that, everything (including complimentary breakfast) was great with great service from the staff.

Although the room was small, it was clean. However the TV did not work at all. Also there was a family in the room next to us who were very loud including banging doors. We asked to removed and we were moved to a room further from the noise. The TV worked in the room but it did need updates especially a new bed. Breakfast was ok with typical mid level hotel offerings. It was the courteous and professional staff which saves this review from 1 star. They were excellent.
