A fantastic historic inn providing 2 bedroom suites for families. Comfortable and safe- we loved how we could walk to restaurants and enjoy the music garden along the river, just behind the inn.

I waited over an hour to check in. I missed snow tubing reservations that I wasn’t reimbursed for. I did get a night comped, but I don’t feel that was enough considering the expectations my family had for our stay. The breakfast was worse than gas station options. Parking was always full so I was left to look for an alternative, which was stressful. The room was not thoroughly cleaned. The location was convenient, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the stay. At least it had historical value.

Horrible stay. The room was disgusting. Had no heat. Only had broken space heaters. Rug was stained. Bedding and towels were stained. There were items pushed under the bed from vacuuming. Just disgusting. No elevator. I had a toddler. That I could not carry up and down the spiral stairs. Called the front desk at least 30 times with no answer when I went down the person was sitting right there ignoring the phone. No microwave. The “breakfast” was a muffin and yogurt. Would never stay in or recommend this filthy hotel to ANYONE. Terrible room and terrible service. Absolutely terrible and disgusting.

Great location, beautiful old building, lovely young lady at the front desk. It is a shame that this building is being treated like this. As soon as you walk in you can't help but notice the buildings beautiful architecture and that it is not being properly cleaned. Most likely because it is skeleton staffed. Owner nowhere on-site. There are 4 flights of stairs and crooked floors. This is to be expected in a building of this age. However dirty windows, rugs, dust , and overflowing garbage in common areas is not. I asked for a corkscrew, nope not one anywhere on sight. Our room, where do I begin. It was not any of the rooms pictured. It was a king family suite with two twins in an ajoining room. Both rooms had no heat and one space heater which of course went to the kids. The air conditioners where still in both windows in October adding a draft to the chill. . Again, dust, dirty windows and curtains, not a chair or desk. There was only one bedside table, a filthy coffee maker with two decaf sachets and a circa 1970 mini fridge that was so loud we unplugged it and it leaked in the middle of the night onto the floor. The only clothes chest couldn't be opened because the window sill obstructed it. The mattress was very comfy but the linens while clean were yellowed and stained from use. That meant I slept fully clothed freezing while listening to the mini-fridge defrost into a garbage can. The bathroom had a lovely clawfoot tub with a shower curtain that didn't meet caus

Old. We had rooms on the 4th floor, with no elevator. Our "suite" with three entry doors, and the key did not open any of them. We had gone out for dinner before going to the room, and the front desk staff was gone for the night, it was after 10pm. Fortunately, the cleaning staff was watching us, and opened the room with a master key. Door to the hall in the double room was right next to the bed and also at the top of the stairs, so you got to hear everyone going up/down. Door to the hall in the other bedroom had a big gap at the top. Fortunately, it was at the end of the hall, so hopefully noise from other guests didn't bother my kids. They were top floor rooms, so low ceiling in part of the room and the floors were not flat. There was a sofa that either blocked the bathroom door from opening fully, or the main door to the rooms. Bathroom was small. Other than that, the rooms were spacious. Continental breakfast was sparse. Cleaning staff was nice and helpful, but did not speak English.

Historical building, overall pleasant atmosphere and stay. Also quiet. The kids appreciated their own space and individual twin beds. The suite looked a little different than what was expected based on the pictures, however due to its age likely every space is different. Water took a long time to warm up, with the two sinks clogging easily and making noise in the opposite room. Also - while the suite had a fridge, it did not have a microwave, the latter which would have been appreciated.
