Only family restaurant permanently closed, had to go off site to eat, if you wanted anything outside of pre packaged food. 5 plus miles away.
Staff excellent!
Biggest issue SMOKING in MAIN ENTRANCE LOBBY!!!
Quiet facility.
Pool doesn't open till 0800, no early morning swimming.
Stay here often, serves my purpose.
General store needs to pay more attention to stock guest may need (toiletries).
General store needs to be more consistent with coffee, creamer and cup services.

We have been going there for family reunions for years and it has always been one of our favorite places. We spend our days playing on the lake to come back and shower. The showers had no cold water! It was scalding hot. The rooms had no dressers and were big empty ugly rooms. The restaurant was closed down forever and the restrooms were also closed down! The food vendors in all the little casinos inside had no food to serve that was on the menus going in. Halfway through our stay our room keys shut down and we were told that this happens all the time. I will give a shout out to Linda and Gabriel in the bar as well as Diane at the front desk!!! They are amazing and made it as pleasant as possible for our group. That place used to be the best!! I doubt we will ever go back. So sad that they have run it into the ground.

Horrible. The list of things wrong with this place is pretty much endless. 1. Check-in took 30 minutes. 2. We weren't told which elevators to use and stood at some that weren't working for a bit. (No signage.) 3. A/C in the room not working properly. (75° in the room.) 4. Out of many things at the bar. Ex: Could I please get a Pineapple Smirnoff Ice? - I'm out of those. I have Mango, Raspberry, etc. etc. - I'll take a Raspberry. - Oh, I'm out of those as well. 5. The restaurant is permanently closed. Who knew? We had 5 hungry kids and my aging mother-in-law to feed. We go to all 4 or 5 of the little casinos in the joint. No fries, pizza, corn dogs at any of them. - Oh, we got hit hard last weekend, and we're out of most everything! (We stayed on a Wednesday.) 6. Security stared our family down as if we were criminals. 7. The shower handle fell off and wouldn't go back on. It was on hot, and the steam rolling out really made the 75° so nice! The guy had to BEAT a new one on... which I'm sure everyone else on our floor appreciated at 6 AM. 8. None of the I've machines on any of the floors worked. 9. No coffee makers in the rooms and the creamer at the downstairs place was bad. My advice is DO NOT spend your hard earned money to stay here... It is absolutely ridiculously horrid.

Great location for River access. The hotel recently closed their cafe, there are low quality appetizers available in the different offshoots of casinos at the hotel. Security gives you a hard time for food or beverages at the pool. The arcade was closed down. Not a very family friendly hotel. Weds work. Our bathroom floor was puckered up, holes in the walls. There’s one temperature of water and it’s hot! This hotel needs a rehab for sure.

Stay was very good over all. Kid friendly we have a 6 year old and a 15 month old baby and felt comfortable waking by the casinos area. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was the toilet kept on getting clogged up. Called the front desk and they sent someone with a plunger but couple hours later it got clogged again. I notify the front desk upon checking out.

We loved this hotel. The front desk staff was super friendly as well the restaurant staff. This was our favourite hotel on our trip. Everything you ever needed all in one place! We are a family of young kids so we could only eat at the bighorn cafe and we loved the food. Big portions and very delicious and great pricing. There is a pool. Chilly but on a hot day would be refreshing. Coin laundry on site. Super close to the hoover dam and only 20min outside of Las Vegas.

It was good substitution for expensive Vegas strip stay but you get what you paid for.
Front desk could not locate my reso neither using my first or last name so once I showed my itinerary of hotels.com they had my name backwards. It took them while to figure it out. (Staff was very nice)
Room… very very old. AC made very loud noise and the carpet in our room could be the original. I could not breathe well due to dust & mole allergy.
Restaurant downstairs are very reasonably priced. However my chicken salad, they put A LOT of salt that I could not even eat after few bites. But my kid’s burger was fine so maybe it was a one off?
They give you coffee tickets that you can use downstairs since you have no coffee machine in your room. And their coffee was very good :)
Checking out was very smooth and quick.
It was really old and out dated room which I don’t think we would return but if you are not too picky it’s a nice option for your $$$.

I stayed at this property with my family for 11 days.
We used it as a base camp to explore the area.the back drop of this hotel is beautiful over looking lake mead.all staff I spoke with were pleasant. There’s no coffee maker in room but coffee is available for free 24hrs.the hotel lobby and casinos are typical of Vegas , a little smoky and dark , big horn cafe was excellent and very cost effective! Our room was clean when we arrived but a little dated and the only down side is they we’re supposed to clean room every third day but they just changed towels and garbage.over all I’m happy with this hotel ,location, price , and staff made it pleasant

We had a great stay at the Hoover Dam Lodge. We are a family of 3 traveling with a 5yo. We found the hotel to be extremely conveniently located to the Dam, lake Mead, Valley of Fire and Las Vegas. Clean and comfortable. Security on site not that we ever saw it needed. Staff were all great and the dining was on point. Best food we had the entire trip. The food was not over priced in fact l think we spent $40 (total) for dinner and that included a drink (alcoholic beverage). The quality and taste was by far the best even compared to restaurants we had dined at in Las Vegas, Sedona and Flagstaff. Even if you don't want to stay at the hotel you should stop in for the food. I definitely recommend staying at, dining at the Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino.
