Holiday Inn Express & Suites Omaha - 120th and Maple, an IHG Hotel

Very clean comfortable room. Quiet neighborhood. Large tv with lots of cable selections. Good hot break that would appeal to all family members. Definitely would stay again.

One of the reasons I booked this hotel because it looked like it had a really nice pool and I was bringing my grandkids with me. As soon as we entered, there was a big sign that the pool was not available due to repairs. They were so disappointed. I paid for the room in advance through the Hotels.com app, so there was no compensation for our loss.

Breakfast options was great, however the pool was closed and I was not notified and the website did not let anyone know-I asked for a discount or a free stay(brought 4 kids with me) and was advised the state had us shut it down so nothing can be done. There was a lot of other families staying during the same time with kids so a call or a website update would have helped and has us go elsewhere.

It was very noisy with kids running up & down halls. When the kids weren’t in the halls, you could hear all the conversations in the halls. The bed was not made the 2nd night of our stay. I did appreciate the staff. Everyone was friendly.

Bed was comfortable. Area outside was under construction or something. The rooms have super thin walls. You could hear kids screaming and running. The stomping on the floor above us was annoying.

The only negative was from the floor above. It must have been kids and they were jumping and pounding away until about midnight. I thought the morning offerings were above average for a hotel, and the woman who worked in the breakfast room was the most gracious and happy person to greet us each day.

The staff was pleasant and the hotel included a free breakfast and wifi. The breakfast was your very basic continental breakfast. Not bad, not great. The room had new style bedding, but the rest was very dated in appearance. Overall not dirty, but you could tell the bathrooms needed better maintenance - mold by trim on wallpaper. Shower was very difficult to use - either cold or very hot - not good since we had our kids with. Also disappointed that Sunday they closed the pool for maintenance without any notice. We had planned on hitting the pool in the morning to wear the kids out before the drive home.

We waited nearly 15 minutes just for someone to show up at the front desk so we could check in. There was a sign with instructions for how to call them, but the phone available didn't work, and I couldn't call from my cell (it was a 'dial 1 for assistance' kind of thing). When she finally showed up she put us in a room where the heater wouldn't shut off and it was so hot. When I called to tell her, she told me just to give it time, it would eventually cool down. When I called again, she finally moved us, but put us next door to a ridiculously loud birthday party full of little kids, apparentlyto punish us for having issues with the first room. We didn't get much sleep. Also, the hot tub is boarded over, so I assume they aren't planning on fixing it.

Good location, clean facility, rooms are spacious. Came for a quick family get away to go to the zoo (hotel is about 20 minutes away). The front desk manager was not very welcoming and rather short (reciting standard check in procedures) didn’t make us feel welcome. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, maybe something had just happened before we arrived but either way throughout our stay she was not welcoming. The rest of the staff was great. Had a mix up with one of our rooms (it was turned over yet) but that was quickly taken care of. One weird aspect is the hotel didn’t have any soap. We asked the manager and she said they were having supply issues (understandable but could you tell people when they check in versus finding out for themselves when they go to their rooms). Breakfast was good, Pool is small but serves the purpose, location is really good and close to a number of areas.
