Best Western West Hills Inn

We came down for a day during our black hills trip to visit family and to go to the fur trade days and the museum

Breakfast area open at night so you can visit with family.

I will most likely stay again but did notice the computer chair arms were extremely worn, the toilet is super short like for a child, and the air setting doesn't allow for a warmer setting, just cold air.

We booked a 3 bed room and paid a little extra for it. Upon entering the room, it was not cleaned. We were given a different room but no offer for price difference was given since we booked through Expedia so that was frustrating. Pool was decent which the kids loved. Didnt sleep veey well as something kept making some clicking/tapping sounds in the night stand area that kept me awake. Heater made similar noises through the night.

It was SUPER noisy! I’ve stayed there several times before and never had an issue. But though the hotel wasn’t near full, every room around and over us was occupied. We could hear tv, conversations, crying kids and barking dogs, dropping boots, bathroom noises, etc. And the key cards kept malfunctioning over and over. Not sure I’ll go back. The pool and hot tub are bright spots.

Person above our room was very heavy walker and was up past midnight walking back and forth and then up at 430am doing the same thing. The bed had a dip in it. Our room was very large. Our kids stay there during wrestling season.

Check in was very fast and the man was friendly and quick. We had no conditioner in our shower, asked for it, but never received any over the 3 days we were there. The room had kids food snacks next to edges of bed and at corners of night stand and tv stand with lots of dust, so you could tell it had not been vacuumed recently. The pool and hot tub were on the dirty side. You couldn't see through the water in either one. Waffle dough machine was broke, so couldn't make waffles one of the days, but dough was left out to use the second day. Overall, not the best but not the worst stay we have have at a hotel recently.
