Great hotel on outskirts of Custer
We absolutely loved our stay, lots of extra touches, super comfy bed, lots of amenities, including outdoor pool, indoor pool and hot tub.Great place families with kids, outdoor games like cornhole, giant chess, connect 4, etc.
Good shower pressure, room fridge that actually cools. Great gathering patios for larger families. Everything was super clean and well kept. Great location in black hills. Very nice and personal in front desk.

This place was beautifully decorated inside and out. Great price for amenities: indoor pool and hot tub area was huge and actually had towels stocked plus many games for kids throughout. Outdoor pool and pickle ball court was an added bonus!! Offered self service laundry facility and provided free detergent. The only thing to improve would be a bell at the front desk because there is rarely any one there. They are usually “in the back” and have to call the facility to speak with someone.

Stay at this hotel!!! My niece said, “ awwww do we have to go.” Rooms were nice but best part was basketball court and pickleball area. Our family spent several hours outside enjoying the sports equipment. The outdoor pool was refreshing and there was also an indoor one we did not have time to use. Very pleasant decor with lots of cute touches. A breakfast place right next door for the morning with good coffee. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

We had one of the best vacation experiences ever at the Bavarian inn. The staff was incredible, happy smiling people who unite as one big family to provide great service. My dog was welcome everywhere-even the breakfast cafe in the restaurant on site where there were couches and toys and a stand up chess set. The sweetest staff, many on summer visa’s from all over the world. It was delightful to hear their stories, dreams and ambitions knowing that their US exposure was to a wonderful place with happy people. My visit to Custer and lodging at the Bavarian Inn was like a return to life in the 1950’s. The setting and environment was magical and there were hundreds of well maintained annuals tended everywhere. They all take great pride in presenting a great experience.

We are from the anrea and came just to scrapbook and get away for two nights. The room was a deluxe two queen upper level double doors onto the deck wonderful comfortable clean room! The office was adorable staff friendly and facilities indoor outdoor pools hot tub were clean and fantastic. Someone cared very much about the details as there was playful whimsy everywhere beautiful red and white petunias spilling over railings bistro lights and lots of fun. We enjoyed pac man video games etc for free as well as cookies and milk at 330. The morning cafe was just as fun also included friendly staff easy ordering fast service and lovely fun whimsical environment! The details such as heart paper under the food rose petals strewn up the walk way heart pillows large chess games board games and books (also at the main office swim building) floating toy fish in the water ❤️care in displaying the food and embellishing it beautifully..best matcha in the black hills excellent lattes…fun drinking cups and coffee cups…those extras make you feel good and let’s you know they care about your experience there! We will be back with our family and grand kids everything you need is there! The views from the restaurant are gorgeous…forgot to mention tennis, hula hoops, playground work out trails…We went there with zero expectations and left so extremely impressed and can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you for a great get away and even during rally (by accident) it was so peaceful and lovely.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The basketball and pickleball courts, along with the outdoor swimming pool, were impeccably maintained and added a lot of value to our stay. As a light sleeper, the policy of not allowing check-ins past 10:00 PM was greatly appreciated as it minimized noise disturbances. I noticed the thoroughness in their cleaning practices, including stripping down the bed completely for laundering.
The in-room wall unit AC did a fantastic job of keeping the room sufficiently cool, catering well to those who prefer cooler temperatures. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, which was a big plus for our family of four. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again!

Best last minute decision ever! We needed to find a hotel after our campsite was waiting for us with hundreds of hungry mosquitoes. We already endured one the previous night and didn’t want to relive this again. Found the hotel online at 9.59pm and called to make sure someone will be there to check us in as check in time was listed at 10pm the latest. A very lovely women promised us to wait for us, so we booked the hotel and it was the best decision ever! She checked us in promptly and very, very friendly. We had the best nights rest and then enjoyed the breakfast offering at the cafe. It’s super kid friendly too with tiny pancakes, plenty of space and lots of games. Room was clean and had everything we were looking for. I even used the complimentary washer and dryer (1.25$). Nothing to complain and would definitely stay again. Huge shout out to Fiona at the front desk. She seems to be a wonderful being!

We are traveling as a side to a business trip and as a couple really are pleased that this is outside the bustle of town. The grounds are immaculate. Although we aren’t traveling with family, I believe this would be an excellent choice for families. They have pickle ball, a basketball court and 2 pools (inside and outside). Flowers are beautiful.
Custer has a good variety of food choices and is less than a mile away

Front office staff was very friendly and welcoming! Suitable property for one night stay as we travel thru the area. Only suggestion is to request 2nd floor room. Ceiling are thin and can hear people above especially the child running all around.
