Best Western Teal Lake Inn

We were staying here cause we were passing through to go to a family funeral. We chose this hotel because it was a little cheaper and we were only going to be there about 6 hours. We got to this hotel at midnight after traveling several hours. We were tired. Upon check in I was asked the ages of our children. I booked on hotels.com and according to them kids are 17 and under. The front desk told me that they consider kids to be 12 and under and there would be extra charges. I was charged extra for each of my kids. The reason is because we were going to be using more water. This need to be listed on the website. We have never had this problem and will never stay here again. Next time I will drive an extra 10 minutes stay in a hotel that will treat you better.

Quick solo trip to see family. Hotel was very convenient, and rated better than other hotels in the area. I had no issues whatsoever. There is no elevator, which was no issue for me. But if that's an issue for you ask for a first floor room. Breakfast wasn't fantastic, but was decent, and better than some other hotel's free breakfast that I've had.

Came to MO for a funeral of a family member. Expressed paying cash for room and was told we would pay when we left and the front desk person would need to check our room. Which was fine we stated we would be leaving early in the morning. Woke up to find they charged the room to the credit card we were using for gas and other things. Front desk person said it would not be charged, didnt ask for a cash deposit on the spot either. When my wife spoke to front desk person (Beshon?) he proceed to get an attitude and speak to her as if she should of known this was the policy but he never said the room would be charged since we are paying cash. Over all will not stay again as the misinformation on top of the already Devastating reason were had to travel in the first place did not set well
