Hampton Inn Columbia

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We were in town for a funeral and had to travel a good ways. They helped make this situation easier and my family is very grateful for their service and understanding. Check-in was fast. We came through the door and the front desk clerk knew us immediately. We were able to check in fast and she gave us a run down of everything. I was charged again for the room even though I prepaid through hotels.com during my booking. I called the front desk later when I realized the error, and they corrected it right away. Very easy process which again during this time was appreciated. The pool is really cool my daughter enjoyed it. Room was clean and comfortable. I forgot shampoo and conditioner but they had a great supply in the room! I am leaving this review before breakfast but I don’t feel it will be a disappointment either. Overall we will definitely stay here again anytime we are in Columbia. There is also a good amount of restaurants around the hotel, so that is a bonus as well. I would like to Thank Everyone with this hotel for their exceptional hospitality and service.

They gave us a handicap room. Worked out very well. Connecting door to room next door had no sound barrier at bottom of door. Seemed to hear everything. Once the kids settled down it was good. Got a very good nights sleep and breakfast was great.

Long trucks occupied 3-6 parking spaces at a time. There were several oversized trucks and I didn’t have anywhere to park late at night. I was told to park in a parking deck/garage on the side and take some steps to enter the hotel. I didn’t feel safe doing that at all. I do realize we arrived really early in the morning but still. Adequate parking for women and children.
