Best Western Plus Kansas City Airport-KCI East

Supposed to get a king room with a sitting area, got a standard room with 2 queens. The room had a strong smell of... ketchup. I know. Weird, right? It was something emanating from the microwave. Pink stains all over the carpet. The toilet is so low it reminded me of my kid's PreK classroom. The building is old. The lobby is cramped and dark. The door didn’t seem to fit the door jamb, or it was warped, or ... something. Just a short stay so we didn’t complain. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was good.

The room was stuffy and hot. There was poor regulation of room temperature and air quality. The room was very noisy. No one in our family slept well.

There were high school age baseball teams running wild and tormenting other guests. Police were called twice in one night and hotel management did nothing but warn the kids. The chaperones were never seen or contacted by staff. The second night the same teens harassed a young mother from our group. Again, no contact with the boys parents/chaperones. We were also a large group with kids but kept a handle on where they were & what they were doing. I'm disappointed with the management's lack of concern for other guests comfort and security. These boys should have been removed the first night when police were called for noise and underage drinking. The hotel itself was moderately clean. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Pool was not working and this wasn't disclosed during check in. The breakfast was good and the womean attending to the breakfast area was so kind, helpful, and sweet with my children!

The only thing i would suggest for additional comfort would be to bring the toilet seats a little higher for families with older people. Otherwise, everything was great!
