Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City Airport

The person working when we checked in was extremely rude and condescending to me which I did not appreciate at all! I don't know if he thought he could talk down to me because I was a woman or just because I happened to try to get into the second set of doors not realizing that they were locked and I interrupted his television viewing so he told me to get my hands off the door as he hurried back to the check in counter to press the button to open the door!! He literally yelled "don't do that" like a was a child!!! It was late, I was tired and had been traveling since 6am that morning and was too tired to drive 3 more hours to my home in Nixa, MO so decided I was safer to get a good nights rest and drive home this morning. He asked me if I had a reservation and I said yes. He asked my last name, which I told him and then rudely questioned did you book through a 3rd party? Like Expedia? Again I was taken back by his question and said "yes, I did, is that a problem!" His abrupt response was "no, I just wanted to know."! Why did it matter to him how I booked it? He's getting paid regardless of who I booked my room through right?? He said very little else as he handed me the room key. I had to ask if we could have 2 room keys. So even though the room was very nice, quiet and clean being treated rudely late at night after a long day of travel was very unprofessional and I don't think I would stay there again because I don't want to deal with that employee and his poor treatment

My family has stayed here many times now and hotel is always clean and smells nice. Free shuttle to airport is helpful and the pizza restaurant is top notch and prices are great! Saltwater pool is always clean and a good place to entertain kids.

I chose the option to pay in person at check in because I always have my card locked but instead they tried to pull it off right before I left to head to kc while my card was locked and it automatically cancelled the reservation because my card was declined I called the hotel to try to fix the problem since this was not my fault and instead of letting me repay or rebook the room they said they were full for the night and I would have to stay elsewhere last minute so before I could even leave town I had to find another room on the fly so me and my family could hit the road to our new Destination

Wonderful staff, eager to please. Room was super clean except the microwave. However they made it right by comping me several items of my choice from the concession area. My family always stays here when in town and this is the first time anything was amiss. Overall, amazing, peaceful stay. I plan to be back. Nice vibe. Sticky floors could use some cleaning and the shower was on a massage setting which wasn’t preferred with children.

The hotel was nice and clean. Downside, not hot tub. The advertising of a heated pool was false. It was freezing and my young children couldn’t even swim. This was the whole point of staying at this hotel. Also the restaurant told us 10-15 minutes wait for dinner. Around 25 minutes later they told us it would be at least an hour. We drove elsewhere. So the two reason we choose this hotel was for the pool and the Old Chicago restaurant. Bummer that neither of those worked out. Will not book again.
