La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kansas City Beacon Hill

Stayed 2 nights. First night was a disaster with a screaming child in the evening and a loud party later both within a few rooms of us. Called the front desk which may have helped. 2nd night was quiet, though there is some road noise. Breakfast was okay.

We requested adjoining rooms and when we arrived, we were told that despite room assignments being made during the morning each day, we were put on 2 different floors, which made interacting with my daughter’s family very inconvenient! The air conditioner was so loud that it was very difficult to stay asleep throughout the night. The breakfast was average at best. The housekeeping service ladies were great. One of the lobby check in ladies was very helpful when we needed her help during a medical emergency. Decent location to get around the city.

It is close to children’s mercy hospital.

The stay was generally good. Until the best day. Upon requesting to extend a day, rep informed me that there was no room available. However, he had just offered to the client before me.. he stated “ there is a ton of rooms available” then he proceeded to ask me to check out, what I responded that I needed to get my stuff ready and will be checking out he insisted to do that in a moment. When getting back to the room, checking with hotels .com they had listed 7 rooms of the exact type. Talked to the manager he said there were room but insisted that I needed to check out also. He was not willing to help me understand how in one site there are rooms not on the other. He was Condescending and rude. My family felt ask to leave.

Had some issue with our room bedsheets and Stephanie quickly moved us to another room. She was freat! . We were there for my grandson childrens Mercy. So wasnt happy Nout sheets but stephanie was apologetic and quickly helped. Thanks Stephanie 😊

The hotel is nice. The neighbor that its located in is a bit sketchy. The front doors are always locked they said. You have to buzz in. I was nervous traveling as single mom with kids when I realized location. The hotel its self was clean & smelled good. The staff was very friendly.

Awesome, helpful and kind staff. Definitely would suggest if you have a kiddo at children's Mercy like we did

The negative; 1. The building entryways and exits smelled like pot. 2. At times you could smell the pot in the room. 3. Evidently our room was too far away from the hot water heater. So showers were lukewarm. 4. Reserved a room for three (3) people online assuming it was a normal bed and a couch or couch/hide-abed. The actual room was a king bed…. Our family is close, just not that close. The positive; 1. Good breakfast 2. Comfortable bed 3. Fantastic location for downtown KC activities.

Absolutely amazing the staff is very friendly and welcoming I NEVER feel like a customer but more like family my home away from home

Okay - first of all, I am all for being "eco-friendly"; however, when you have plastic drink cups, plastic shampoo & conditioner bottles, plastic eating utensils - well, you get the idea - plastic everywhere - it defeats the effort. Secondly - what is with the kindergarten aged child's commodes in the large bathrooms???!!! We laughed as we felt like we were sitting on the floor to pee!!! Really - folks, it was laughable - just sayin' . . . . Overall, our stay was great - the Staff is awesome - shout out to Stephanie on the evening shift & the manager. We would probably stay here again, however, we did miss having a restaurant and bar on the premises.
