The this hotel I came down with the family because of silver dollar city and they got a different hotel and they said they will be getting this hotel the next time they need one. The staff was very nice and did what they could to make the stay even better

We stayed over memorial weekend check in was easy and we had a great experience. The room was clean and didn’t have any weird smells. It was a convenient location considering everything was within walking distance. Also next to Walmart which was nice. Enjoyed the pool outside only thing the kids complained about was the waffle maker. The timer seemed to be off and their waffles were a little darker than they wanted. Overall great stay.

I arrived at the property was shown building one which is a fully functioning hotel. Was told I could check in building 1 but for a fee. I was told I could check into building 2 which is an overflow building they opened during holidays. Kind of a ghost town but it was ready and no fee. IAFTER booking I was told by Sheree at front seat that she was sorry to tell me that she was about to ruin my day but they WERE going to charge me. She was so sweet and tried reasoning with her manager Rita because I was told there wound not be a fee. No luck. I spoke to Rita and explained I was told there was a fee in building 1 and not 2. Rita should be the poster child for bad management and the opening act for the Grinch. She is the sole reason I will never stay there again. Sheree bent over backwards for everyone. Did the job of 5 people and should be the face and manager of this hotel she personally walked me around hotel to make sure I’d be happy with my stay. She called people by name when she saw them and would be an asset to any business. Rita on the other hand should be fired and go back to her job as the wicked witch of the West. She’s rude and acts to enjoy wielding the her management title around. You got your money Rita but lost any future business from me. You earned every single work of this review.

Hubby and myself with 2 grandkids stayed 1 night. Hotel was nice. Beds said queen...but sure were small. Felt like double bed. Would stay again but would get king size bed. Loved the walk in shower with seat and removable spray wand. Breakfast needed more options. Loved the pancakes and the neat Pancake maker. Was super close to walmart and other places. Kids loved the in indoor pool and hot tub!

We chose the family room since my 2 kids are teenagers & it's just not appropriate for them to share a bed as brother & sister anymore. My son thinks he is too old to sleep with his dad also. We were all so happy that it had 2 Queen beds plus a sofa! It gave us just enough room to make everyone happy. Clean spacious room. Breakfast was ok, busy, my husband lost patience waiting in line for the pancakes, maybe need a waffle iron or another pancake machine on these busy days. Salsa would've been nice for the eggs. Overall stay was good! Too bad Branson charges such high taxes on these rooms.

I will start with the good. The room was older, but clean. The breakfast was hot, and plentiful. Now the bad. We arrived approx. 15 minutes before 4:00 pm. When we went to the desk to check in, we were told our room “wasn’t ready yet”. (They said this to everyone that came in.) The staff then watched as my son and I loaded our luggage onto a cart, and come back in to register. It was then that they told us we would be in a different building!! We nearly lost our entire load as the other building was down an almost vertical hill. They advertise 2 hot tubs. They don’t tell you that they only open 1 up a day. No matter how many people are there. I was told it was the policy to give the other hot tub a “rest”, and that’s the reason they have 2 hot tubs. So that one could always “rest”! I was told just to ask one of the 7 people in the hot tub to “ move over”! Do not expect service to your room. You won’t get it. The garbage was emptied, and clean towels were brought in every day. However, we did not get the toilet paper replaced, or coffee packets for the in-room machine,or the beds made. The last day there, we were using Kleenex for toilet paper. The drain in the sink didn’t work, and water would slowly trickle out of the basin for hours. The walls are very thin. We could hear the children next door quite plainly. Take my word for it. For the price, this hotel was terrible. I spent almost $500.00 for 3 nights. There are plenty of hotels in Branson with better deals.

I think an average score of "good" is appropriate for Grand Oaks Hotel. The property has obviously been recently renovated and does look better. It was clean and very easy to get to/park. It does, though, have a darkness to it that I couldn't pinpoint. Even my kids said how it always felt "dark" inside. Our room was constantly humid/sticky feeling, and I realized that the AC kicks itself off after a certain amount of time, so we'd get back from being out and it would be humid and hot, and when we woke up in the morning, it would be off, too. The pool area, while a good size, was so humid and hot that the kids only wanted to swim once. Breakfast was acceptable but not great. I was definitely glad I paid $90/night on Expedia and not the original $150/night I was quoted on their website.
