Avid Hotels Hattiesburg West, an IHG Hotel

Nice hotel. Stayed for overnight trip to take kids to water park. Clean, breakfast was grab and go. Room and bathroom clean. Not sure if there was construction going on or walls super thin, lots of bumping going on throughout the night. But we had toddlers who also made noise so no need to complain. Would stay again.

This location was absolutely amazing and very convenient to the location my and family was visiting!

They left 3 bottles of cleaning supplies in our room and I have small children

The place was very clean. Room was sparse to say the least. Room was very small compared to comparably priced hotels. My laptop barley fit on the desk top. There was no microwave, no coffee maker no furniture with drawers, soap containers were too high for children to use. Breakfast was one of the worst I have experienced. Very little selection. Not even waffle makers which I think everyplace has these days. Ice maker only on the first floor which is inconvenient if you are on the 4th floor. No ice buckets in room just disposable buckets near the ice machine which were very flimsy and did not keep ice well. Just who is your target market. One of the highest priced hotels in the area. Won't be back! Should rename to "AVOID".

The property itself was great and the staff very friendly. Beware of the apartments across the street. Upon my check in around 8:00pm, there were cars racing and skidding by and residents at the apartments having arguments outside.

Had a rough check in but ended up pretty quick. Checked in on a late Saturday night so downstairs was a little busy. The hotel is very clean, sheik, modern, and minimal; including space. Not sure it’s the best place for families. The space inside is very limited, probably perfect for business travel. Found hair all over bathroom floor, looks like it just forgot to be swept. And no hot water, just warm. The walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors, especially in the hallways. You can hear every door open and close and people walking on the floor above. We only stayed for a night so it was all we needed, we might have over payed for this trendy hotel.
