Avid Hotels Zeeland, an IHG Hotel

Erin at the front desk was the friendliest person I have ever encountered in my travels. There’s an indoor pool that was very welcoming. We were visiting family in Zeeland and were able to invite our grandchildren to come over and swim. The coffee was delicious

The hotel itself looks brand new. It is clean and well maintained. The bathroom looks new and pretty. The only thing is the soap ran out on our first night and did not get it refilled. We ended up using the soap that I brought. Otherwise, my family enjoyed our stay there

Hotel was clean and staff was good. I normally have two toddlers with me when traveling and will not stay with Avid again. Taking one step on the floor in the room sounds like an elephant is walking on the floor. Normally my 2 kids like to play and move around a little in the room. I basically had to confine them to the beds due to the insane volume that taking just a few steps would cause. If I was without kids I’d have no issue staying here again.

Got to the property at 10 pm and check in was great! (Thanks, Dani). Originally booked a king room but needed 2 beds so Dani was able to accommodate us. Got to room and tv wouldn’t turn on. Was offered a different room but was already settled in after long day of travel. Fridge was either off or unplugged so soda for the drive home was warm in the morning. The hotel is nice and pool was great for kids. Very clean and quiet, even though it appeared it was pretty full. Overall it was a nice hotel, reasonably priced compared to similar properties.

This was a lovely property that accommodated our large family reunion. My only complaint is that none of our rooms had their soap refilled so we all had to ask. Also, the walls are quite thin and we heard a lot of noise from our neighbours. The price was a little high but the area is touristy so that was expected

This hotel is billed as a no-frills, basic property, but I have no idea what they skimped on. I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on hotels for kids’ travel sports and loved this place. The rooms were just as big as other hotels, incredibly clean, and the beds were more comfortable than any place I have stayed. It’s only 10 minute drive to Hope College, 15 minutes to the beach, and 30 minutes to Saugatuk. I would absolutely stay there again.

Personnel was excellent and grab and go breakfast was also excellent. Only issue we had was a family that let their children scream and cry in the halls after 11:00 pm. Maybe you should have a family only floor, so everyone can enjoy their stay. Those kids were obnoxious and I have a daycare! Stay was great until then.

We were there for the Birth of our first grandbaby. we picked it due to close to hospital and being a new hotel. We had an issue with our toilet and when we called the front desk to come fix it we were asked to come to front desk and get a plunger for us the guest to fix it.

The beds were so comfortable!! Hilary at front desk was AMAZING!!! So helpful and friendly! The hotel was wonderful on every level clean and modern and beautiful! now the hockey group that came in was horrible on every level but that was not the Hotels fault but the adults in charge of those kids that were playing hockey in the hallways ramming our door and screaming:( 10/10 would go back again would just check to make sure a hockey team wasn’t staying before we stayed!

I liked that it was near my son and family.
