Holiday Inn Express And Suites Detroit Dearborn, an IHG Hotel

My stay was nice. The one desk servicer could have been a little more sensitive to my situation considering I'm dealing with a death in the family. Overall, the stay was nice and the hotel was clean.

I did not like the fact thay the walls are thin. We were woken up at 7 a.m. by kids jumping and running around upstairs above our room. Parents should be more considerate when staying with kids.

Everything from A to Z was excellent. Some teen age girls try to give my family hard time on swimming pool but I handled it. Hope they make it for quality people only because all is there to enjoy the weekend.

They overbooked and sold our room to someone else. We were supposed to have two queen size beds in a room and instead we had to do with one king and a chair. And then they charged us the same amount for the different room even though they got it wrong, no discount either. The person at the front desk blatantly lied to me and I watched them lie to numerous other people. They said they called they never called they said the card was declined it was never declined I even checked with my credit card company, no transaction occurred and it was never declined. Terrible customer service at the hotel and I'm sure Hotels.com had to have been involved with this somehow too and I won't be using hotels.com again either too much of a coincidence between the hotel and the booking service. The layout of the rooms are not functional another unhappy family there the next room over from us had the same scenario happened to them although they had a pull out couch in the room, but the room was so small that the couch couldn't even open up into the bed. So baffling, at least they had a couch. The bathroom door swings open and hits the glass shower door waiting to break there's not a door stop. There's so many things wrong with the design of the hotel I can't even start. Not enough towels in the rooms not enough blankets in the rooms no towels in the pool in the bathroom look minimally clean. Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast which was fine and the staff operating the breakfast was kind.

Front desk staff were so friendly! Beds were very comfortable and room was very nice. Couple spots where I feel like they could have been cleaner, but overall, very pleasant stay. Breakfast was good too, my toddler was very impressed by the pancake maker 😅

Computer issues upon arrival prevented us from checking in right away, which was annoying because it was 8 pm and we had two kids with us. Towels were dirty in the room but otherwise it seemed generally clean. Pool was cold. Breakfast was good.

I like that the managers/ housekeepers were attentive. My kids and I felt safe cuz there was always someone at the desk available when we needed something

Bus loads of kids were coming in to stay and play baseball in Detroit stadium. The first night kids were running the hallways at 9:23 PM. Quiet time is 10:00PM. I had gone to bed early so they woke me up and no one was answering the phone at the desk. They were too busy dealing with all the people eating pizza in the lobby! The second night was quiet after I had talked to the staff. I am used to more quiet.

Our stay was enjoyable, the room was very nice and comfortable, and the front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good with several items to choose from. The only issue that we had was the person assigned to make up the room on our floor never came while we were out. But after we retuned and called down to the front desk about the room not being made up or having clean towels around 7pm, the young lady that was over the staff apologized and said that she was told that our room had been cleaned. She came right up to clean and brought clean replacement towels, which I told her it was very much appreciated. Besides that, our stay was fantastic, and we will be staying at this location each year when we come up to visit our family. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that's looking for a nice and friendly place to stay when visiting the area. Kudos!!!

Nice, new rooms and spaces. The staff was friendly and helpful! The breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel - pancakes, eggs, omelets, baked good. All of it was tasty! The pool water was beautifully warm (no hot tub) and away from guests so we didn't worry about our kids being too loud.
