Courtyard by Marriott Southfield

Little loud there was a kid bday party in the room across from us and the kids were extremely loud but I was so tired I slept through it

My family and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott for four days. During our stay, we never received any housekeeping services. We had to request clean towels daily. The bed linen was dirty and the furniture needed Cleaning and dusting. This has been one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful and tried to help but we did not get the assistance we needed unfortunately.

I’m definitely reaching out to the corporate office. The whole reason for the stay was to utilize the pool & the breakfast. The pool was filthy, it had a film floating on the surface. The filter must not have been working. The A/C in the pool area was broken, it was like sitting inside an oven. We propped the doors open & the front desk staff came & shut them saying they were working on fixing the air. I was there two days & it never got fixed. The breakfast is no longer buffet style. There is ONE person working to take orders & fix & serve the food. It is NOT a kid friendly menu. I prepaid for breakfast for both days & lost money on the second day as I opted to take the kids to IHOP instead of eating something they didn’t want. I really like Courtyard but I’m beyond disappointed in my stay & they won’t be my first choice in the future.

Me and the family really enjoyed ourselves and wasn’t ready to leave.All the staff was so great especially the security Ms Vanessa she made us feel so safe and at home.We definitely will be going back soon and a lot often.

My stay was ok front desk has excellent customer service I came for the pool and to relax the pool was nasty as soon as I walked in and looked at the pool I turned around and went back to my room the had a dirty floating on top of the water the water was murky used wet towels all over the floor then the hallways had burst dirty diaper trail thru the hallway that stayed all night and morning kids knocking on the door and running never going back

From 230 AM until 4am I sat by my window while one other room and guest yelled, argued, and fought. I sat there hoping I would not fight a bunch of people accidentally crashing into my room while my family slept. Needless to say I will not be staying there anymore.

Very nice hotel. When we checked in, there was kids running around the entire hotel. I didn't see any staff trying to correct them. This went on for a few hours.

There was only one set of towels and when requested 2 sets for 3, was informed that wasn’t possible and could only provide one set. Didn’t receive towels the night of request so called next morning and was informed towels would arrive soon. When towels arrived there were only 2 towels, 2 hand towels, and no washcloths. Called the front desk and was informed I would have to wait for the washcloths and there was no timeframe. Tub had slow drain and tried to call front desk several times but no answer. No housekeeping provided although family members 2 rooms down, received housekeeping. Room restocked with only 2 towels and 2 hand towels, no floor mats, sugar or cream.

Very good to my children. They stayed in pool most of the time... location was perfect for being with family !!! Thanks alot to the staff for being extra nice
