Courtyard by Marriott Southfield

My family and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott for four days. During our stay, we never received any housekeeping services. We had to request clean towels daily. The bed linen was dirty and the furniture needed Cleaning and dusting. This has been one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful and tried to help but we did not get the assistance we needed unfortunately.

Me and the family really enjoyed ourselves and wasn’t ready to leave.All the staff was so great especially the security Ms Vanessa she made us feel so safe and at home.We definitely will be going back soon and a lot often.

My stay was ok front desk has excellent customer service I came for the pool and to relax the pool was nasty as soon as I walked in and looked at the pool I turned around and went back to my room the had a dirty floating on top of the water the water was murky used wet towels all over the floor then the hallways had burst dirty diaper trail thru the hallway that stayed all night and morning kids knocking on the door and running never going back

From 230 AM until 4am I sat by my window while one other room and guest yelled, argued, and fought. I sat there hoping I would not fight a bunch of people accidentally crashing into my room while my family slept. Needless to say I will not be staying there anymore.

Very nice hotel. When we checked in, there was kids running around the entire hotel. I didn't see any staff trying to correct them. This went on for a few hours.

There was only one set of towels and when requested 2 sets for 3, was informed that wasn’t possible and could only provide one set. Didn’t receive towels the night of request so called next morning and was informed towels would arrive soon. When towels arrived there were only 2 towels, 2 hand towels, and no washcloths. Called the front desk and was informed I would have to wait for the washcloths and there was no timeframe. Tub had slow drain and tried to call front desk several times but no answer. No housekeeping provided although family members 2 rooms down, received housekeeping. Room restocked with only 2 towels and 2 hand towels, no floor mats, sugar or cream.

Very good to my children. They stayed in pool most of the time... location was perfect for being with family !!! Thanks alot to the staff for being extra nice

We patronized this hotel because we were visiting family in the area. Upon entering the room, I noticed a very noticeable “musty” smell as if the carpet needed to be pulled. While in the restroom, I observed a soiled washcloth hanging from the shower curtain. Later on, my mother found a flea crawling on her ankle. I’m not a particularly picky person, but the combination of issues with this place was totally unacceptable. To top things off, I noticed that when I received my final bill, they DID NOT honor the price quoted on Hotels.com. THAT issue will be addressed with that location and if not rectified, further up the chain. The Marriott brand should be ashamed of allowing one of their properties to drop so far below their standards!!

The rooms need to be updated. There were broken tiles in the bathroom. There was a stain in the bathtub. The furniture was scratched up. I was there for 4 nights and my room was never cleaned even after I complained. I had to go to the front desk to get towels. Several of my family members also had the same low level of service. This was unacceptable and definitely not what I have experienced at other Courtyard properties.
