Hampton Inn Port Huron

Room was clean. Heavy curtains coukd not be pulled across the window. Hot tub was not in service. People next door must have had kids that were wearing off energy, lots of thumps and bumps. Employee at front desk was awesome and gave me great directions to get to Highway 19. Breakfast was fantastic.

Service was great, and for a smaller Inn the pool was nice enough that the kids enjoyed it.

We had an excellent family stay at Hampton Inn Port Huron. The front desk person that greeted us was very friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was clean with very comfortable beds. The pool temperature was warm and enjoyable. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order and the front desk clerk said it had been out for 2 years with no immediate plan to reopen. The night that we stayed also had a large number of guests that were in town for a hockey tournament. Kids were running and playing in the halls, and groups were assembled all over. However we found that inside our room everything was quite and we were able to sleep well.

There were a couple concerns about our stay which I addressed, but overall it was excellent. The gentleman that greeted me, I am a 70 yr old disabled female senior, was very abrasive when talking to me. Talked down to me as if I didn’t know what I was doing or could not do anything. I was concerned about my reservation to begin with, because I knew from experience the Hotel.com sometimes overbooked and there were limited places in Port Huron that evening with all the festivals and class reunions and weddings going on. I had asked for a room with a cot, since my family with a preteen and teenager were extremely tall for their age. The gentleman was very rude when I called down and asked for one. Instead of bringing it into the room…just wheeled it and had us rearrange the room to fit the cot. All the beds were extremely comfortable…with plenty of blankets, and pillows. My daughter-in-law and the two teens used the pool to their delight. The bathroom tile grout was coming up and they had replaced the grout with cement which was cracking and forming stone pebbles which hurt our feet. Your food service for breakfast was AWESOME and the woman attender greeted EVERYONE on a one to one basis with a “good morning”. The food was delicious and my family ate a full size breakfast, even those who never eat a breakfast. I personally went up at checkout and thanked her to her surprise. Thank you for this stay…I will be back. Awesome, yet expensive for us.
