Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rochester Hill - Detroit Area, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here for the night because we were in town for a soccer tournament. I called the day before to see if they would have our room ready earlier than the 3 pm check in time, and they said they would put a request in. When I called the day of check in they said it would not be ready before 3. Which is fine, but I got there at 4 pm to find hair in the drain of our shower, no trash cans anywhere in the room, the coffee pot didn’t work, and there was cobwebs/dust in the corners of the room. We were also given a handicapped room (no one in our family is handicapped) which again fine….until we showered and the water spilled all into the bathroom area, all over the floor. We had to use our extra bathroom towels just to sop up all of the water. The pictures online look a lot nicer than what it was in person.

We picked your hotel as the softball team from Petoskey chose to stay here as a team. The staff was MIA. The rooms were not stocked as we had two 1/4 rolls of toilet paper. We had no hair dryer. The girls were woken up at 2:30 because of loud kids playing music. We arrived downstairs at 7:30 and there was no breakfast. We only had sausage and cinnamon rolls ( which were great). Not going to stay again, unfortunately because we have three years left. Hope things get better.

We booked 3 rooms here so we could use the pool. However, the pool was so cold the kids lips were turning purple. The room had numerous items on the floor that we had to clean up.

The front desk man Tony was very nice and was very helpful. The breakfast was warm and good selection. The pool was clean and we had it to ourselves. They had Dove for hygiene products in the room and that is a plus because that is what my family uses. The only con was one of the lights in the room would not shut off so we slept with a bright light on. By the time we noticed it was late and didn’t want the workers in our room with our girls in their Jammies. When we come back to town we will stay here again.
