Fairfield Inn & Suites Jackson

Not really kid friendly! Due to having kids there for a birthday party they got all blame for any noise. Even had the desk clerk come to the door at 1230 when they were sleeping saying they had gotten a noise complaint. Nice hotel if you don’t have multiple kids with you.

We decided to stay at the hotel while visiting family. We could’ve stayed with family but wanted to give out two small children a chance to swim so we opted to stay at the hotel. Once checked in, everyone got changed into their swimsuits. As soon as we made it to the pool, they were closing it because one of the underwater lamps had popped out. When asked about a time frame for maintenance to be performed so that we might go swimming, I was not given an answer. So it was basically a giant waste of money and I’ll got was two very disappointed children.

With it being in the Marriott family, it was dated and seemed very old. Odd smell in the room. Just not up to the Marriott standard.

When I first checked in, I went up to my room, walked in and was hit in the face with heat. The AC did not work and it was over 80 outside. I grabbed my things and went straight back downstairs and asked for a room with a working AC. The guy at the front was hesitant and as tried to reach the on call handyman. After not being able to he reluctantly gave us another room. This room was now on the first floor( we asked for a higher room and were told we would get one). This room had AC so we were pleased. We dropped our stuff and went to visit family. When we got back the night, we started noticing how dirty the tub was (looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a very long time), the carpet felt slimy( probably from people coming in wet from the pool?), and there was hair everywhere. Hair on the floor by the sink, in the bathroom and even in the drain of the tub. We luckily only stayed two nights and were there to visit family. Outside at night people linger the property smoking weed. During our stay, several people were yelling in the halls until almost 4 am and our room was by the front desk. The fact that they allowed this is insane! Whoever was above us must have been running in place all night because all we heard was someone running overhead. When we come back we will be staying in one of the newer hotels. I chose this based on the rating and the rating is waaayyyhh off.

The service was great but I was very desappointed with the pool water cold being indoor and the jaccuzy BROKEN yet it's mentioned on the site. The breakfast was set up great with many choise even for the kids.
