Hampton Inn & Suites Bay City

Studio suite was very roomy, very well-designed. Everything in the suite worked -- lamps, soap/lotion/shampoo/conditioner dispensers; ample towels. Free breakfast was good, would be improved with more fresh fruit options. Welcoming and comfortable, exactly what we need to weather a family situation requiring frequent trips to the area. Will definitely stay here again.

The hotel, property, staff and breakfast were all pretty good. Nothing to complain about there. It was clean and organized. The room was nice. There was work that had been done in the bathroom that wasn't done by a professional so it was a little shoddy but it was still nice and clean otherwise. My only two complaints were the other guests and the pool. The first night we were there had a boys hockey team. The were crowding the lobby, the were loud, the were goofing off on the elevators by packing them with over 20 people at a time. The 2nd night we were there, there was a girls bowling team. They were way worse than the boys the night before. There was all the same problems with the boys but the girls were incredibly loud. They were running up and down the hallway until almost midnight. They were stomping in the rooms and slamming their doors. They kept the elevators tied up the entire time by going up and down them constantly. They were all walking barefoot in the lobby and everywhere they went. We complained but nobody did anything about it. The second issue was the pool. There was entirely too much chlorine in it. When we got out, my family was red and itchy, our eyes and skin burned for hours and it actually tarnished my wife's gold and silver jewelry. Other than those issues, the hotel was very nice and accommodating.

Very clean and comfortable room, continental breakfast was very good A , would recommend to family and friends.

The hotel was clean, fitness room and pool were well maintained and above average, breakfast was great. The only issues I had was they charge $25/day (which you get back if you don't charge to your room, take anything or break anything) but didn't tell me that at check in, the tub barely drained (which they attempted to address rather quickly by just walking into the room and then needed to be prompted to come back, said they did but drain was even slower) and didn't address the loud kids running up and down the hallways until midnight. All in all it was a clean, well maintained facility.
