DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bay City - Riverfront

My kids and I had a wonderful time. Breakfast was great and the view from my room was nice. The only thing that could have been better were the beds. They were a bit uncomfortable but everything else was great.

Have stayed many times before and have really enjoyed it. Nice clean rooms, quiet, great staff and tons of things to do around town. This stay wasn’t as good as the rest but still enjoyed it. My family and I come for the pool and hot tub. This stay how ever was disappointing because the pool was very gross. Usually the pool is well kept and this trip it had chunks of hair and other unknown debris floating around everywhere in it and very cloudy water. Bonus, we did learn that we could order drinks down at the lounge and bring them back up to our room! The bloody Mary’s and long islands were so good.

Our stay was wonderful. The only problem was we were looking forward to soaking in the hot tub in the pool area in the evening and every time we went there were small children (3) with their parents in the hot tub. We made three trps over two days and had to return to our rooms. The kids were splashing and play boisterously. Not the mood we were hoping for.

Everything was great the hotel was clean and very Comfortable! The employees were all friendly ! Attended a family wedding which was beautiful and well organized.

If you want a throwback to the 1990s, this is the place to go. Far from modern with a smoky-scent to the room we were given. The shower curtain was moldy, but the very kind staff person replaced it immediately. The room was small for the price we paid but had a wonderful view of the drawbridge and water. The pool at this hotel is for small children. The deepest point is 3.5ft. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and the drunken wedding party in the hallway was addressed by security at least once, maybe twice. This is definitely the lowest, “high end” hotel we have stayed in. We will make another choice if we visit Bay City again. The friendly-staff just doesn’t make up for the very much expired decor and unpleasant odor of the room. Time to have those big decision makers upgrade the rooms and pool to reflect the high price they expect people to pay. The money is there so raise staff pay and update your hotel. Trump would not be proud.

The pool became overcrowded quickly with children who weren't being supervised properly, who both got hurt and almost hurt, the parents were drinking by the hot tub with outside alcohol, there were more people in the pool and hot tub than were allowed and staff that did enter the pool area said nothing.

The kids loved the pool with the fake palm trees in the middle. Great breakfast and outdoor spaces along the river. Small playground right next door, too! Walking distance to all the restaurants.

This was a beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff. The kids loves the pool and we loved the dining!

Great location for events we were there for, food in the area was pretty good with great service, room was nice but didn’t realize double bed were going to be full size beds, it was a little cramped for my family but ok, overall good stay will stay again
