Overall our stay was great, beautiful hotel and a great view but our check in experience was horrible. We called ahead and were told we could check in a few mins early so we showed up about 20 mins early with a baby. We had a crying baby and were told the room was actually not ready. So the front desk politely offered to upgrade our room to one that was ready… something I would expect from this hotel! I said great! (Again with a crying baby) and then the front desk proceeded to tell us the up charge for the new room (umm that’s not an upgrade). We informed them we would not be paying more (we already had one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel). The associate, said “just wait” While everyone around us was offered a welcome cocktail, we were not. It would have been nice to offer that already free cocktail to us us while we waited. Eventually well after the advertised check in time we were told our room was ready. After an exhausting day and again a crying baby, there was no apology and again everyone around us was offered a welcome cocktail so we eventually asked. The front staff said he was busy and the cocktail was low so we could come back down in 10 mins. It was just one of the coldest and most unwelcoming arrival to a hotel and not what you expect of this high end establishment. Hopefully just a one off problem with a single employee

The doormen and front desk staff are all a class act. It felt great and pampering to receive accommodations here. I do remember one of the doormen, Rob, who was very helpful. He was like the bellservice, doorman, concierge since he knew so much information and was just happy to help. At the end of our stay, I was asked if we enjoyed our stay. There was one thing that was inconvenient. The AC was not setting the proper temperature in the room. Made a few calls and an Engineer came but the problem was not resolved. When I mentioned this incident to Nicolette, she immediately called the manager even if I didn't request for a manager. The manager, Nicola, apologized profusely. She comped our incidental charges, her way of making ammends. That was very considerate of her. She realized that we were inconvenienced but repairing the AC is too late as we were already checking out. Because of this small gesture of acknowledgment, apology, and giving back some unexpected remuneration, I thought to forgive the AC inconvenience and pondered to return again when I'm in Baltimore. They made our family feel special.

They made so many mistakes with our reservation that resulted in problems for our family. A mess with service and would not recommend. Took me 5 tries to get their billing errors correct.

Traveled with baby. Great staff. Warm, eager to assist. Neighborhood isn’t great - police pulling away drunk from taco bar, homeless sleeping on doorsteps, and really hard to walk around on rugged cobblestone with stroller. Some locals tried to use hotel pool and had to be escorted out. Gym is tiny and along main hallway. Non-smoking policy but guy in room next to us smoking cigars on balcony and made it hard to enjoy our patio, which also had a lot of bird poop. Room didn’t seem to include hair dryer or place to hang towels, and lighting switches were weird. But staff quickly got us a back up cradle when first wasn’t working, plenty of water bottles for formula mixing, great valet and bellhop, accommodating restaurant for stroller and kid. If this was in slightly better area and design was more well thought out, would be 4-5 star, but otherwise low 4.

I want to thank the staff of the Pendry for taking lovely care of my sister and brother in love. Her birthday is at the end of the month and I thought it would be a nice break to give her a nice getaway from kids and adult responsibilities. Her and husband had an amazing stay and would love to come back when the turns warmer. I do lowkey luxury reviews online and having them as my eyes and ears was great. Thank you again!
