The mattress is so comfortable. This is a beautiful room I brought my bathing suit to enjoy the pool It was upsetting to see a family of ducks swimming in the pool. On the bottom of the pool, I saw duck droppings. It is unsanitary.

Clean and comfortable enough; minor annoyances: heavy footed kids in the room above, and occasional barking from a dog across the hall

Went to visit son in the area. Comfortable stay, restaurant on site- worked out great, met son and his children for breakfast. Would recommend

I really appreciated the location and the pool area. The room was also very clean. But at $228 a night, I was expecting fresher air and better grab and go breakfast. As soon as you entered the halls where rooms were located, at least our room, you were greeted by an old smell. And inside the room was worse. It was what I'd think visiting a great great grandparent's home might smell like, though not quite. The grab and go breakfast has bananas that were green. Couldn't even eat them in a few days. Tangerines. Dry baked goods that were very dry and really, just no options. We took the fruits cups for the kids. Kind of an expensive experience for the amenities.

The desk clearly was friendly but did not tell us about amenity details such as breakfast times, internet or pool hours. The landscaping is overgrown and shabby. The room was spacious and well kept. While I understand that families are vacationing there seemed to be an abundance of kids of all ages at the pool with little supervision and it was not a welcoming environment to relax. There seemed to be a large amount of partying happening here, people dragging in large amounts of booze and Jell-O shots, others muttering to themselves in the hallways that did not appear to belong here. We love the restaurant but will not be staying at the hotel again.

We liked most things. The only disappointment was that we were anticipating a first-floor room but couldn't have one because of the hotel's desire to keep a group of children who were in a baseball tournament on the first floor to keep the disturbance from coming down to the first floor. We understand and appreciate the reasoning. Just a note: we are 80 years old and had luggage to bring upstairs.

Large clean pool which the kids enjoyed after a long day in the car. And a terrific selection of breakfast options. The building seemed old but was clean and convenient.

The good: Hotel manager who checked us in was pleasant. The room itself was clean and good sized, up to date. Plenty of towels (which as we know is rare), coffee, and well stocked with soaps, shampoos, etc. Comfortable beds and pillows. Medium sized pool, seemed clean. Nice family hotel, they take pets too apparently, this is good to know even though I did not have my dog with me as I was on business. Now the not so good: Hotel common areas very outdated and there was a slight odor... The "included breakfast" was a complete joke. Its a teaser for the attached restaurant Governors which actually serves a pretty good breakfast, reasonably priced, good service too. Anyway, the crux of the problem - The room was incredibly overpriced (big city prices!) Honestly it was a $79 room and I paid almost 4 times that! I thought i was going to be staying in quite a special place for that price.The bad: Room was near the ice machine and heard people getting ice all night long, the walls are super thin - goes for the ceiling too - neighbors above us were constantly dropping something.. for hours. Also they were cleaning the floors in the wee hours, I heard hoses being dragged around in the hallway (through the door). The pool can get quite noisy as well. If you are going to stay in this hotel, expect to overpay and not sleep unless you bring some earplugs.
