La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Monroe

Hotel is nice on the inside and out. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Negative- the exhaust fan in the bathroom makes this constant screeching noise. The worst part was the other customers. When I checked in the lobby was full of people ( lots and lots of children ) eating pizza/talking very loud. There were people ( again lots of children ) walking/running up and down the first floor hallway. The kids were out of control/unsupervised/screeching/yelling/slamming doors- no adult supervision. This went on until a little after 10 p.m. I called the front desk twice to complain but nothing was done. I'm not staying late enough this morning ( as I had planned to do ) because I know it's going to start up all over again when they wake up. People even had a barbecue grill set up in the parking lot next to the pool-who does that/what hotel allows that!

This LaQuinta Inn had friendly staff and it was a very clean facility. The breakfast was good every morning. The pool was nice and well kept up. My kids loved their bed but the one me and my husband slept on was a little hard. We were only there three nights so it wasn’t that bad. We will definitely stay here again if we travel to West Monroe. We went on a Duck Dynasty Trip and had an amazing time.

This was a stop along the way with family. The location, price, and quality exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was good, and the hotel was in in good shape. Great location, just off of I-20 and next to a hiking trail.

The service at the front desk was great! We had our DO NOT DISTURB sign out and check out was at 11, house keeping came banging on our door at 9:00AM! No reason for that. Also late night check in of baseball kids and families were more than disruptive! Running up and down the halls, yelling and playing for hours! Major issue- no ice machine availability except in the 4th floor. This has been an issue in the last 3 LaQuintas I’ve stayed in.

First the check in lady wasn’t friendly. Then the elevator was out and our room was on the 4th floor. My kiddo has an ear infection and had to climb 4 flights of dirty stairs to get to the room. The bed was very firm which I find uncomfortable. The neighbors were noisy even after 11pm. The real kicker was the room was $186 but within 20 mins of us checking in the price dropped $75. Really?!?! That was super disappointing.

Tried to check in and was refused because the virtual card that is used for payment from expedia to pay the hotel was declined, there was 5 different families there that were trying to check in and were having the same problem, we had to wait 45 min and were made to call Expedia to get this resolved but was hung up on multiple times then was only to be given a number that the hotel needed to call. The hotel called the number and was on hold for 30 min. Once we were given keys to our room we went in and the toilet was not cleaned and had feces all in it, the tub had yellow water when you took a bathe, there was hair in the bathtub and on the comforter. We went downstairs and told the front desk and they just said they would have housekeeping clean it tomorrow, never offered to have us change rooms or them clean it then.
