Great service at the front desk and breakfast area. The room was perfect for our stay with our grandson. The pool and sport court were nice and a good place for our grandson to interact with other kids.

Many issues! First off, they don’t warn you about parking or tell you that yes valet is free but 38.50 a day is added to your room for the parking lot valet uses! Our room stink beyond anything I can describe! I called the front desk and was told “only thing we can offer is some spray to mask the smell”. They sent housekeeping with fresh towels and when I asked where the spray was he laughed and said no one knows. The hotel could be beautiful and our “upgraded” suite was spacious. It’s just dirty everywhere you go! So many locals staying there the pool had over 40 kids in it and wasn’t safe. Not to mention the pool closes at 8, not 10 as the website stated. I would not recommend or stay here again! I wouldn’t even leave my suitcases in the room it stunk so bad!

After arriving in town, we thought we would have to wait hours to check-in. Our plan was to just leave our luggage and then go check out a museum until 4. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by staff who immediately was able to check us in. Our main concern after checking in was getting some good New Orleans food and the staff had plenty of recommendations! We tried a few and they were amazing. The staff was very welcoming and hospitable. My son loved the fact there was a lot to places to relax at the hotel after a day of walking. The hotel itself was closer to everything than we thought so we were pleasantly surprised at the convenience to the French Quarter, bus stops, streetcars and even the ferry! Next time we come to New Orleans (hopefully with my extended family) we are staying here!

We had a wonderful week visiting New Orleans over spring break with the family! We checked off three more states on this trip to take our total to 38. The grounds were well kept with several amenities we weren’t expecting. There was a full court for either basketball or volleyball, giant Jenga, and some corn hole boards near the pool. Tyler, the hotel manager stopped and chatted with us a few times. After learning the volleyball they kept was missing, he had one picked up so our girls could play. We met several very nice staff members. Earl and Christian both shared some of their stories and were happy to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. The two bedroom suite with a full kitchen was perfect for all of us! We enjoyed several local restaurants, but also the ability to eat in for a few meals. Continental breakfast was served from 7-9:30 every morning. We used the gym almost every day. It was a good size that allowed 4/5 adults to be working out together comfortably. Location was fantastic. Walking distance to many spots including the WWII museum. We used the trolly, but it was also no more than a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter. My only complaint was a very large family get together that checked in for two nights. They were very loud in the courtyard at all hours. I’m sure the staff did what they could, but it seemed to continue multiple times. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again!

Generally a good experience. I like the courtyard. The kids liked playing with the Jenga blocks.
There were weird sandbags by one of the exterior doors, made the place look derelict.
The pool was freezing. It was too cold to swim in. My kids braved it but came out soon after with teeth chattering. It needs to be heated, at least in this shoulder season. The pool at the Omni Royal was heated (not super hot, but perhaps to 70º, and it was much nicer).

It was nice, especially for the price you can’t go wrong. It wasn’t modern nice, but it was clean, somewhat modern, and free breakfast? Not bad. We were to busy site seeing that we couldn’t enjoy the pool, fire pit, corn hole, volleyball/ basketball court. But definitely family friendly due to those amenities.

The staff was friendly and very helpful! The hotel had an amazing courtyard with basketball court, volleyball, pool and amazing fire pit area. Our kids absolutely loved it! It's in a great location and felt safe. The street car was very close and easy to walk to.
