Holiday Inn New Orleans Airport North, an IHG Hotel

For the money, this hotel was not worth it and will definitely not stay here again! When I arrived no staff was at the desk, after waiting 15 minutes the staff arrived. She was nice and welcoming but after a day of traveling the last thing I want is a delay to get to my room and shower and what not. I got to my room and checked the matress as usual and it was dirty with staines! Bathroom smelled and the wood looked rigged with screws under the sink like a 1 star hotel. I expected nicer for $200 a night!. Oh and the toulet paper rolls are attached to the sink which isn't next to the toilet. Lol hopefully you have longer arms but a kid would need to get off the toilet to grab toilet paper. I needed to iron my suit for a funeral which is why i was in town and the iron was broken. I requested a new one and I was told to bring it down to the front desk. For the price, I expect staff to bring me a new iron and grab the old one. This hotel is trash, would not recommend.

This hotel was one of the worst I've stayed in. The staff was barely courteous. Upon arrival there was sticky spilled red juice on the floor stepping off of the elevator and it remained there as we checked out the next day, it was never cleaned up. There were three full garbage bags sitting next to the elevator that never left as well. The pool, restaurant, fitness, and even the ice machine on our floor and every single possible perk listed on the site was non-existent. There were children (or someone) running and stomping and playing on the floor above us until at least 10pm. We surely couldn't have been the only ones to hear that. It was a horrible hotel and we will certainly not stay in a Holiday Inn at all ever again. There are far better options for the same amount of money.

The pool was closed! It was 87 degrees out that day and I had a 13-year-old kid. No explanation. Location near airport is good. For the price and the lack of promised amenities, I didn't think this was a good value.
