Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Hammond

Worst stay ever. Awakened at 2am from people arriving next door. They spent an hour yelling, having a screaming baby, and banging everything. Complained and was just told they would tell manager. Just left rather than try to deal with horrible people since this was just an overnight stay. I will never return.

I had a man knock on my room door at 3:30 am. He kept knocking and knocking persistently and I was afraid. I called the front desk and she told me not to open the door and she had already called the police. She said a black SUV had been circling around the motel and several men got out of the SUV and were running down the halls. She was watching them on camera and saw what was going on and called police. About ten minutes later she called back to tell me she finally saw them leave on camera but the police were still not there and she was scared and disappointed. She was on the phone with me until the police eventually arrived. I found out the next day that only five months ago there was a man that was shot in that motel parking lot during what seemed like a carjacking. When the man tried to get his wife out of the car he was shot. There is something going on around there and it is not safe. I tried to speak with a manager multiple times and left my phone number and my husband tried calling and left his phone number. It has been two days later and the manager finally called and instead of offering any kind of apology or assurance of security at the motel, he tried to pass it off as if someone was just looking for a family member or something. When I explained how terrified I was and how terrified his own employee was he didn’t know what to say and kept arguing that he didn’t know what to do. I kept telling him it was HIS job to assure the safety of his guests.

For this to be an older outside entrance hotel, it was very clean. You can tell it’s older outside but the inside was very clean and updated. NO CARPET was a big plus for my family. Beds were comfy but a little stiff.

This was our second time at this hotel due to our fur baby. The evening desk clerk was there last time there and she recognized me as I got out of the truck! That was amazing! Made us feel really welcomed.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 hrs. We felt unsafe and when i received a call from hotel at 930pm at night on my personal cellphone i just packed up and left. This was just a stop so i can rest after 8 hr driving with my kids after phone call i just packed and risk the 5 more hours of driving home. The room was dirty dog hair on bed, hairs bathroom and the sheet where stained.

Room was extremely spacious. It fit my family of 4 and two dogs great. Clean floors, sheets, bathroom. Only negative I would say is that the toilet wobbled --- which I only knew about because I'd seen a previous review stating it did - so naturally I had to see for myself! Definitely would stay again. Staff was extremely friendly. "Grab and go breakfast" needs a retool of their definition -- because there was no breakfast. But this location is close to several options so no biggie.
