Hampton Inn Baton Rouge - I-10 & College Dr.

I booked a king bed suite (with sofa bed) for my family of 6. When I arrived, we were given a tiny room w/2 double beds. I called reception to let them know we were given the wrong room and this wasn't feasible for our family. The receptionist apologized and said come back down and I'll switch you rooms. So we all go back down and wait. She says ok, the only room we have has a king bed, but the sofa bed was broken so they took it out of there. She said we could give you a rollaway bed to put in there. Excited to finally get settled, we agree. Our family goes back up to a different room, Chris, the overnight receptionist says she will meet us up there with the rollaway bed. We open the door and its another small room, this time with only one double bed. We tell her again this room is not what we paid for and will not accomodate our family. She says well thats my last room, so either you can get a refund or I can call my manager. We all go back down together again and she calls Tonya. She says to her manager, I'm sorry to be bugging you, but I have a customer complaining. I offered her 2 different rooms and she isn't happy. The manager has her ask me if I am a rewards member. I say no, she says well you will have to call Expedia to get a refund. Before she hung up, she said to her manager, well let me handle this chick then I will call you back and she walks away from the front desk. At this point, I was extremely upset with the lack of professionalism of both parties.

Property is walking distance to several restaurants and driving distance to a few others. Any time my family and I are in town this is our preferred hotel.

I like everything about the property. I would recommend my friends and family. Staff was very friendly answered all my questions, breakfast was amazing. My kid's loved it especially the pool ☺️ I give them 5 stars. I will most definitely be staying again.

The hotel was fine but I specifically booked this hotel because it was 2 queen beds and a sofa bed to accommodate my family of 5. When we arrived they did not have a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. They did add a roll out bed so it worked out but had they not done that we would not have had enough room for everyone to sleep.

Very polite and helpful staff. Excellent checking in and out. Room was clean. My room was small but it was OK for one night. Breakfast was good and I liked waffle makers that made small waffles. Swimming pool is not for swimming but for kids play and it was clean. This hotel is right next to I-10 (a bit noisy for light sleepers) close to LSU and business centers and all kind of restaurants and shops are around it. Good comfortable place for one night stay during weekend.
