DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Baton Rouge

Upon arrival, I waited almost 5 minutes at the front desk before I was greeted to check in. I was also told that a $50 charge needed to be collected which I paid but have yet to get it returned to my account. When we arrived to the room, there were no towels. 2 hours later is when we got towels. Bathroom shower had hair on the walls and in the drain. Two of the lights in the room didn’t work. Our room was dusty in several different parts. The lamp shade was cracked and broken. The remote control was sticky. My daughter didn’t get to enjoy the indoor pool because they had too many kids in it and they were not will to share the area with my daughter. Breakfast was $20 for myself and daughter and the options were poor considering we had to pay for it. Continental breakfasts have better options and are free.

The stay was great, however, a customer got into the pool with an open and bleeding sore on his ankle. The next day when the baseball team arrive the kids were not being monitored. Therefore they were knocking on doors and running. The also were not being monitored.

Checking in, selecting my room, and checking out with the Hilton app is convenient. The room was nice, with a secondary sitting/sleeping area. The digital key did not work, but a card key was provided without delay. Doubletree will be our destination whenever we need to visit family in Baton Rouge.

This is a great property to stay with kids! The cookies are phenomenal!

Traveled with small children , would stay again

They sold the room that we booked and paid for. They downgraded our family of 6 to a smaller room and would not do anything to accommodate us. However I did speak with Hotels.com and they took care of us. I would not stay at this doubletree again.
