Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge, an IHG Hotel

Very nice full service hotel. Safe close to family

Booked us on a floor where everyone was all out in halls. @11:30pm kids were playing in the hall, adults were all gathered in hall talking. And mgmt said they can’t do anything. So had to get out of bed, pack up & move to another floor.

Horrific. Check in took 15 minutes for someone to look up to say hello. Then they split our family into two hotels because they overbooked. The room is dirty and the window doesn’t seal so the highway noise spills in along with the 100 degree air.

Has been nicely updated and when traveling for events (= lots of bags and sport things) the check-in/drop-off situation is frequently cumbersome but the extra-spacious (could easily fit eight vehicles) porte cochere was SOGREAT. I am staying here from now on when in Baton Rouge. -LSU Alum and parent of 2 sporty kids.

Booked this hotel based on the reviews. However, upon arriving we quickly saw that the hotel didn’t live up to its reviews. It’s actually a Motel not a hotel and didn’t seem to be in the best side of town. No cars were in the lot and you could tell no all buy a handful of rooms were taken. All bad signs for me. I checked in and the owner was nice enough. Opened our room, which was stifling hot!, and discovered only three feet to move around between the bed and the wall. Bath room was tiny and we had hardly any room for our stuff. My family didn’t feel comfortable staying there. So I went and asked for a cancellation in order to find a better, safer hotel.
