The Landmark Hotel

The beds were comfortable. The pillows were soft. The air works good. It’s so quiet we often forgot that we were in a hotel with multiple floors with a rooftop restaurant. We would definitely stay again and would 10 out of 10 recommend to family and friends.

Stay was great considering family in hospital. Staff was extremely helpful especially Stephanie.

Comfortable, clean, great staff. Close to everything! Second time staying. I will stay here every time I come to visit the family!

I only booked this hotel for the pool and the pool was closed. I booked a double room and it only had 2 bath towels- I guess the kids are supposed to share their parent’s towels? The exterior of the hotel is coated in spiders/webs, and the interior walls of the rooms are concrete/cinder block like a basement. I feel sorry for the people who live in this town, it’s a sad little place.

They are making upgrades to better the place and look forward to seeing it completed. Best place to stay if you’re visiting your kids at University of Pikeville, all very close.

They advertise free breakfast but they only have coffee. I like to chose places with breakfast bc I travel with a couple small kids. Clean room and nice inside. It’s a maze to get to the rooms and hard to figure that place out with the construction they had going on. Lying about food tho… doubt I’ll be back.

Check in-3:00pm. I arrived at 5:30pm and the room was not ready. I am from Michigan and when I asked how we should spend our time while waiting for the room, their response was “ Go out to eat.” We had family and reservations waiting for us.Had to wait 40 minutes to get into the room I booked 2 1/2 months ago. I had to park in the rear parking lot but 8 motorcycles could park under the carport impeding traffic entering or exiting the property. There was a room dedicated for ice and drinks on the first floor by the elevator but there aren’t any drink machines nor was there any ice in the ice machine. With checkin service like , we didn’t bother with the restaurant, we could only imagine what that must be like.

Terrible service. Asked for a manager to speak with, was informed manager off site. Clerk said he called and texted manager and manager would not call back to help with my emergent issue. They do not inform their customers of rules regarding whom they will rent a room to, based on where you address is listed as on your ID. I was traveling with a child and was informed upon check in that they would not honor my reservation. Terrible neglectful management and customer service. Luckily I found a room nearby but could have been been stranded without a place to stay with my child. Almost all rooms in the area were booked up and I was fortunate enough to find one elsewhere that had been cancelled.
