Holiday Inn Express And Suites-Cincinnati South - Wilder, an IHG Hotel

It was very clean. But you could hear everything. People walking above us(sounded like they were coming thru the floor) kids screaming in another room. I heard the all the noise from the highway. I could even hear the toilet flushing from room next to me. I won’t ever stay at a holiday inn express again. Stayed at one last in completed different state with the same experience

Overall we had a great overnight stay here. The only downside is that we reserved a rooms with 2 queen size beds but they didn’t give is that. They gave us a room with a King size bed. This was an issue because we are 2 adults traveling with 3 kids. They didn’t have rollaway beds and no way to fix this issue for us. We literally didn’t fit in the room. Thankfully grandparents also traveled with us and we were able to disperse the kids to our family’s rooms so everyone had their space but if this wasn’t the case this would have been a real issue for us. Other than that the hotel was clean, comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast had great options.

It was right off the interstate so easy to get to locations. We stayed here when going to the Cincinnati zoo, the ark encounter and some shopping in florence. The staff was friendly. Waitstaff around the breakfast area were so kind and helpful and constantly restocking items. Breakfast was good and a variety of items. I loved the veggie and egg white omelet however they also served biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs, cold cereal, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, etc... the pool is nice, i mean it felt small the first night because there were 3 other families there utilizing it but night 2 we had it all to ourselves. I dont have any complaints. All our needs were met. We did have dinner at Yorkstreet and it was amazing and a very lovely atmosphere. Second night we ate down the road at Barleycorns brewery and also loved the laidback atmosphere and outdoor dining.

The stay was good. Just had to move rooms because of my children

We are grateful for the early check in on Saturday. We arrived at 12:15pm for a 2pm wedding. Our guest services representative at the counter found one room available. Our family of 5 was able to get ready and be on time for the wedding. Thank you for saving the day for us!

The only thing I didn't like was the kids upstairs running at 11:00 at night

Love a new-er hotel. It adds to the cleanliness. The rooms were really comfy and big enough for our family of 3. Great stay before an early-morning soccer game.

I’d give the hotel a 7/10. The pool was freezing and the deck is tile so it was incredibly slippery, there were several falls by our kids that were walking carefully, the handicap seat to enter the pool wasn’t working. Showers needing a cleaning in the grout there was some dark spots and one evening someone was smoking weed and the whole hotel stunk. The ladies that maintained the breakfast were wonderful, asking if we wanted fresh refills on things and making sure it was stocked. Ice machine was clean, we didn’t have a need for housekeeping. They have feather pillows so if you have allergies beware. It’s about 15 minutes from the aquarium and another 10 to reach shopping or stores.

The property is located in a great location. Very safe and easy access. The hotel is very updated and presents a modern feel. The bed linens are high quality and the blackout curtains did not let one glimpse of light in! Bathroom was nice and spacious. Full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The little touches showed throughout, that was so nice. Perfect hotel for families. Now, the negatives. No 24/7 coffee as they mentioned on the hotel website. The hotel room cleanliness was not acceptable. Mold in the toilet and in the bathtub. Room service was not daily and when they did come, they did not vacuum. Pool is very cool, even thought they indicate it’s heated. When asked to refill the towels at the pool, no one showed. So no towels after swimming available. You can tell they are struggling with staffing shortage.

Smooth check in process. Accommodations were made with even the smallest requests during our stay. Quiet and clean environment with no issues! Indoor pool was small, but convenient for the kids. Breakfast was complimentary which was nice to grab and go before we left that morning! Would definitely stay here again.
