Embassy Suites Louisville East

Our stay was very nice even though construction was happening. It was noisy but I was not bothered by it. Maybe because we had two toddlers in the room. The only thing was a chemical smell on the second day but it did not come into our room. It dissipated pretty quickly or it would have been a deal breaker. We requested extra towels and iron, and they were delivered promptly. I did receive a text soon after check in checking in on us which was very nice. Even with construction, we still had all amenities except the pool which was also being renovated. This is our second stay at this hotel and would return again. They have the best breakfast of any hotel I've stayed at. It's not just your average continental breakfast. We were given a "voucher" for a free drink at the bar for each night of our stay. Parking is free.

The hotel was under renovation which was not shown on the hotels.com website when the trip was booked. Also, there were two family reunions in the hotel and the noise level was incredibly high late into the night. We had to call the front desk who employed security to get the noise under control.

The property would have been great except we were notified right before our stay that it was under construction. We had planned on using the pool and the lounge area during our stay, but due to the construction we could not use either and had to cram into a service elevator to get to our room. The staff was nice but did not go out of the way to help. I had 3 kids and my mother with me on the 6 th floor and there were no available luggage trolleys. We had to carry it all ourselves. The room was nice and the breakfast is the best I have had in a hotel! There were many pros and many cons to the trip

We did receive an email from management about the construction going on. It stated that there was construction and noise during the hours of 8 am-5 pm. It would have been nice that they informed us that the restaurant and swimming pool were also closed. We had a child with us and booked with a hotel that had a pool so that when we were at the hotel we could utilize the pool to occupy the child and not be stuck in the room with nothing to do. This was inconvenient and made our time at the hotel lacking for things for child to do.

The rooms were very nice/ we had problems with the shower being scalding hot / which would have burnt a younger child/ however once brought to their attention they fixed it

This was a beautiful hotel with an awesome breakfast. The pool was a little chilly, but the kids enjoyed playing in it. Very classy lobby and sitting area. We all loved the glass elevators.

The hotel was great but very noisy- kids running all over. This clearly is not the hotel’s fault but that of the parents. It feel sorry for the hotel staff, they are constantly cleaning up behind people.

This property is not what I expected from an Embassy Suites. It is older, and not well kept. Our room had peeling wallpaper, a damaged frame around the sliding door, and stains on the ceiling, chair and curtains. Everything seemed outdated. Who still uses an Ethernet cable?!? The hallway outside the pool was extremely wet at times and there were kids everywhere running around (playing hide and seek on the elevators and running around each floor). While the breakfast was what I expected from an Embassy Suites, I was disappointed to see paper plates, cups and plastic utensils. Overall just not up to par in my book.

Double beds, small for 2 adults 3 kids

Room was spacious. Beds were comfortable, but living area furniture is worn. The pull out couch (which we needed due to the size of our party) is in desperate need of replacement. The free drinks at reception was nice, but snacks were limited. We ordered dinner, but they did not have all items on menu. The pool was cold and unchecked by staff. Towels were left in pool (we fished out 5) and kids were in and out unsupervised. A large group came in with one adult and we immediately had to leave due to all the screaming. Around midnight, very loud music and people hollering could be heard in the lobby area (all rooms are open to this area) for over an hour. Management did nothing to stop this. Breakfast was ok. Omelets are made to order, but items were pulled from the buffet an hour before breakfast was to end. On the surface, it’s pretty, but furnishings haven’t changed in years and it is starting to show. At this price point, it seems like it could be refurbished.
