Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Louisville Northeast

It's probably the best inn I have been to, and the prices are fair, but it's very clean. There are many breakfast options, which is essential when traveling with family. The staff was friendly. I would stay in again.

Check in was pleasant and simple. However, we had requested a handicap accessible room knowing that the shower would have hands rails to prevent a fall. We were given a standard room. My wife tried the shower and was very concerned with how slippery the shower floor was. She called the front desk to see if they had an anti-slip, in-shower mat and was told no, but they offered to bring her a couple of cloth bath floor mats to place in the shower. Obviously, that would not have been a safe solution, so we just purchased one ourselves. Also, that evening, we noticed that one of the two clamp assemblies that holds the toilet seat in place was broken loose. After the first use, due to instability, the other assembly broke loose! As it was late, we just dealt with it. The next morning, as we were going out for the day, I stopped by the front desk to inform them and to have it fixed. The desk clerk was more concerned with why we didn't report it the previous evening and commenced to lecture us on the proper procedure to report the next time it happens! As if we would have to report something else. She promised that she would have it fixed. We returned later that evening and it was still broken. I called the front desk and the young man at the immediately came to the room, verified the issue and had it repaired. Lastly, we usually don't spend a lot of time in the room as we are visiting local family, but I will definitely do better research of what type chairs are in the room.

The place was great. The location and area was great. But when we stayed, there seemed to be a hundred children staying there as well, and that brought our experience down. We couldn't really use many facilities because everything was overrun by sporty children and their parents. But that's not the hotel's fault I guess.

Hallway had a foul odor. A piece of the wall under the nightstand was missing, several wires exposed and hanging out. So glad we did not have small children with us.

Great place for families with kids, we were at 4 properties previously and all had pool for the kids but the water was cold. This property had heated pool.

We stayed on a family trip to see lights under Louisville. I have to say very easy check in and out. We left something of my granddaughters in the room after we had checked out and had to come back to hotel and they were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again. Very quiet rooms as well.

Excellent time visiting family in Louisville.

Had a wonderful stay last winter here. But didn’t have the same experience this time. After the first night, I switched rooms from a King to 2 Queens for the second night to have more space for our family. Neither rooms were very clean. My daughter and I both woke up with welts on our legs. Still no signs of bed bugs but will be triple checking our luggage before bringing anything inside my home. The first night, I got no sleep due to a party happening across the hall. After asking the neighbors directly if they could keep it down (my child was tossing and turning at 2 am), they failed to quiet down so I finally notified the front desk and they handled it promptly. The guest service was really incredible. Every front desk staff member was very polite & helpful. I just wish cleanliness was a top priority here like it felt the last time I stayed. Can’t confirm that our bites were due to bed bugs but it definitely happened in our sleep and has caused concern. We stayed elsewhere our 3rd night in Louisville. Overall wouldn’t stay here again. But the workers are so polite so I don’t want my review to reflect the staff negatively because they were really great!

The hotel smelled like weed. In the halls, outside, through the vents. Horrible!! Alarm went off at night- probably due to someone smoking in their room. Brought this smell to staff attention and they said to check back the next day when a manager was on duty. The next two days, hotel was fine. More families were there. Good breakfast.

Clean, modern and new, comfortable. Good breakfast - Sunday was pretty crowded and they had a hard time keeping the breakfast bar stocked, but Monday was slower and there were lots of good choices. Funny and unpleasant smell in the indoor pool room - it was causing gag reflexes in my son, so we chose not to swim which disappointed my kids. Visiting Louisville, so the location was a bit too far out from the city for me. Wished it had been closer. Other than those two things, it was a very comfortable way to pass the night and early morning.
