Holiday Inn Express And Suites La Grange, an IHG Hotel

First, they tried putting us in a king bed room instead of two queens with a sofa bed. We are a family of 4 - two adults, a 16 year old girl, and a 6 year old boy. We went to the desk and they changed us to what we reserved, even though he told us it was someone else’s room because they were at capacity. Once we got to the new room, there were crumbs all inside the sofa bed, bandaid trash in it and on the floor, and a used water bottle under the sofa bed. We could 3 popcorn kernels in the sheets of one of the queen beds. Additionally, there was no cover over the light just inside the door and the toilet was loose. We checked out within 20 minutes because we could not stay there. They didn’t have any other rooms to offer us and the ones we were given were wrong and unacceptably dirty. Now, hotels.com is fighting returning the charge because they claim the property won’t respond to them. I didn’t get to stay here, the girl at the desk even called her manager right in front of me who confirmed we could cancel our booking. I was from out of town and had to pay for a different hotel room and they’re continuing to leave me responsible for this payment. I will NEVER stay here again nor will I stay at another Holiday Inn. Absolutely nasty and terrible customer service.

What a wonderful stay we had at this property. The breakfast was hot and delish, complimenting things for parents and kids; the breakfast staff was even more- friendly and lovely. (It's been a long day of traveling and I've forgotten her name), however she made sure to introduce herself to my kids and offer extra napkins - appearing to go the extra mile for each person in the dining area. The room was so clean and comfortable, entire hotel clean and appealing, and this being our last hotel of 7 days of traveling in and out of 3 different hotels - hands down my favorite experience. Happy to give 5 stars.

My family and I (2 adults, 4 children under 12) checked in at 10pm after a long day in the car to find that they had given our room away (we pre-paid about 4 weeks in advance). With our family size we don’t fit well into a normal room so we always book suites, so when she said they were fully booked and “there’s nothing we can do” I was peeved to say the least. We ended up taking the room because it was late and there was no vacancy nearby. When I contacted Hotels.com to help rectify the situation (like refunding part of my stay because I paid for a room I didn’t receive), they had to call the hotel to ok the refund. The front desk lady hung up on them and refused to answer their phone call that evening. So in short, nice hotel building, very clean, very very very bad service. No traveler should be met with this incompetence and refusal to take responsibility. Shame on this hotel & its management.

If I stay at a hotel in Lagrange when visiting family, this is the one I always book. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff are very friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND..😁

The breakfast selection was amazing! So many options compared to other hotels we have stayed at. The room option we got worked out great for our family of 5! We normally bring a blow up mattress for our youngest to sleep on but this actually had a double queen with a pull out couch bed option which worked out great! They also had all dove brand products in the bathroom which I normally use so that was great! The only things that I would “complain” about, which really aren’t that big a deal was the pool was really small (we didn’t use it but if we had booked for that purpose for our kiddos they would have been pretty disappointed.) The second thing was they didn’t have extra pillows for the pull out couch which I thought was strange. We made it work with the pillows on the beds but still thought that was odd.

Great location with nearby restaurants and stores. Large room with plenty of space for our family while driving thru the area.

I stay at this property every time I go there to visit family . On this stay there we’re unheard of cold weather issues and nothing the hotel could do about that . I will continue to stay at the hotel as the staff made up for the weather conditions.

Upon checking into room- found food crumbs, rocks and hair all over the floor. There was red “food” smudged all over the bed spreads. Requested a new room or to clean current room. New room assigned. At 1230 am a strange man, not in our party, entered our room and turned the lights on. He was assigned to our room. The front desk then called asking if we were even supposed to be in the room and demanding our reservation name. No apology what so ever or concern for the guests, including young children, who were scared awake. Complete lack of communication, professionalism, and safety. Will not stay at this property again and will consider other hotel brands before staying at a holiday inn express again. Hotel manager did apologize and state he was investigating incidence and only offered 1/2 refund on room rental.

This is a brand new hotel. The beds were very comfortable. It was very clean the pool was very nice. The people were very friendly. The only thing is they run out of items at breakfast it is billed as a complete hot breakfast but both days that we stayed there they ran out of pancakes they ran out of cinnamon rolls and several other things. We will be staying there again as we visit our daughter and her family in LaGrange

This hotel is clean and offers fully closing and locking bathroom doors. In other hotels I've stayed in they're opting for barn door style bathroom doors that neither fully seal or even lock which is a must if you want true privacy. The room was clean and very nice. The only compliant I would have is noisy people on my floor. Well after 11:00pm I could hear children across the hall screaming and playing, people walking loudly and opening and closing their room doors. I don't think hotels are being built as soundproof as they use to be. In the morning, though I was already up, around 7:30am I could hear children racing up and down the hallway.
