Ambassador Hotel Wichita, Autograph Collection

Originally I had booked 2 rooms unfortunately my plans changed so I missed out on my stay but the other room booked was for my family and they enjoyed it and were pleasantly pleased with their stay. The staff was quite friendly, helpful & accommodating!

It was hard to sleep for all the car and motorcycle noise outside. The parking ramp and streets outside the hotel just didn't feel family friendly. Several homeless people were sleeping outside against your hotel in front and in the back ally.

The view is beautiful. The entrance, halls appearance is also absolutely stunning. Thats the only positive to our entire stay. We rented two rooms for a party of 5. Two adults and three children. At check in we were given one set of keys. We got upto the room and realized only one room was given and no joining room. Had to go back to front desk. Gal moved us to another floor. The rooms were very spacious and beautiful. We had room amenities which were ridiculously priced. Alcoholic beverages in the mini fridge but all with an extra charge. Snacks in room all priced. Water, soda etc all with price. Being a high end hotel $500 for two rooms and one night the least they could do is provide a snack and soft drink. At check out I was charged to my card they held for security purposes even after telling them I had booked with Expedia. They gave me a receipt with my refund amount. They also emailed me receipts but the funds are being held thru my bank for a different charge. This entire stay was a nightmare from check in to check out. Will never stay again! At check out the gentleman asked how our stay was. My reply was "ok not at all impressed" he froze and replied "im sorry to hear that". If I had been working that day I would have asked... what there something wrong? What could we have done better? Tell me more about your stay...something more than a pause and sorry to hear that.
