Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wichita Northwest, an IHG Hotel

Overall this was a decent hotel. It is on a good area with lots of restaurants down the road. The staff was nice. The beds were comfy. We got a 2 queen suite and it was very spacious. Breakfast was good.... had eggs or omelets, some meat (bacon or sausage), biscuits & gravy, cinnamon rolls, cereal, muffins, pancakes, yogurt.... one day had breakfast potatoes as well. Juice, milk, & coffee. Our only complaints are that the pool didn't seem to have a filter on. Lots of hair and particles floating in it. Didn't seem to bother my kids but it's adults didn't stay in. Second complaint would be we had ants in our room and the breakfast area had ants. We were on the 3rd floor. My son had a bag of candy that ended up with maybe 30-40 ants in it when he woke up. Killed a few on the bed as well. We wouldn't be opposed to staying there again.

the location is perfect for us as it's near where our family members live. Was disappointed in the breakfast. Otherwise, very pleased.

The thermostat in our room was set to 98. Our room was so hot it was uncomfortable to sleep in. One of the mattresses had a sunken in spot that one member of our family had to make other arrangements to sleep someplace else.

Staff was friendly and room was clean. I think the price may have gone up since my stay, or maybe I just had a discount from Expedia. Either way, it was really good for the price especially compared to other hotels I have stayed at. Pool was loud with a lot of kids, but I think there was a birthday party going on. Still fun nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay!

The room we had, had a very slippery surface in the bath. There were obviously traction stickers at one time but they were no longer there. The rod for the shower curtain was damaged so that it no longer hung correctly. This made it impossible to fully close the shower curtain as it would just slide back open. It was obvious to me that someone must have slipped in the past and grabbed the shower curtain or shower curtain rod to break their fall damaging the curtain rod. Further, the air conditioner in that room rattled and squeaked when the compressor kicked on. Also, the air in the room has a stale smell. Last, the vanity was too high for a normal sized person so I'm guessing that a short person or child would have great difficulty using it. Otherwise, everything was great including the few people we interacted with.

Great service and nice safe area for a traveling family.

Comfortable stay in Maize, KS. Not many hotel options in this city NW of Wichita. Convenient for visiting family in Maize. Decent hot breakfast.

Nice facility. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was awesome. The beds were not super comfy and the bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but it was a safe, quiet property and a great place to relax after visiting with family over the Thanksgiving holiday. This hotel is pet friendly and has an indoor pool if you have kids.

Being a woman traveling alone with kids, this property made me feel safe. Most comfortable beds!!!!
