Best Western Premier Ankeny Hotel

Beautiful updated hotel with lovely clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay with our kids. They enjoyed how nice the room was and the pool was fun.

Despite several other posts - Expedia has not updated the listing to reflect that breakfast is not included. The cost savings for one traveler is likely enough that it was not an issue for me but it would have been bothersome for a family traveling. Otherwise great property I’d stay again.

The location with the beautiful pond, outside patio, pool and cleanliness are A in my book! The pillows and beds were legit the best sleep I’ve ever had! The staff was lackluster- they were helpful if you needed something but not friendly. The lobby is gorgeous and is spa like. Sadly, the breakfast was overwhelmingly disappointing. Two plain cereals, yogurt, nothing much at all. No juice when we were there either, the kids didn’t have much to pick from. It’s a beautiful sunroom the breakfast food is served in, I wish they would provide a few more options and this would be my go to hotel in the area!

We had a TV issue, other than that it was fine we just slept there to be close to family. Didn’t use any of the facilities. My husband did have the complimentary breakfast.

Our family got in late with kids. We got to our room it was wide open. Pillows everywhere keys from previous stayers on table bathroom gross. I was very disappointed had upset little kids just wanted to be in a room otherwise staff was great rooms were great once we got new one

We were there to visit family and the location of the hotel was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family

We booked a 2 night stay to drop our child off at college and get her settled in. There were stores in close proximity to the hotel, Target, Menards, Walmart, Sams Club etc. which made it really convenient to pick up last minute items. There were tons of restaurants around the hotel and it was easily accessible off of the interstate. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and it had a really good free breakfast. It was nice that parking and Wi-Fi were free although I have to admit the Wi-Fi was a little spotty.

We really liked the clean, spacious, modern room. The room had many nice features including a large LCD TV with Wi-Fi connectivity, a good size fridge, microwave, desk, multiple USB plugs, a sliding barn door for the bathroom, and a backlit mirror in the bathroom. Hotel also had a small salt water pool, a workout room and a great breakfast buffet. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. We had a minor plumbing issue when we checked in, mentioned it to the desk when we left for dinner, and it had been remedied by the time we returned, as promised. The location was also great, with a pretty lake out our window (or as the staff called it, the ocean view), and within minutes drive of multiple dining and shopping options. My only recommendations for improvement are that, while the barn door was super cool looking, with the gap between the wall and the door it didn’t offer a lot of privacy for us with a younger children. Also, I would recommending upgrading to double ply toilet paper.

Clean, comfortable room. Easy on-off I-35, pool for the kids, next-door restaurants for seafood & steak.
