Best Western Plus Des Moines West Inn & Suites

About 10 minutes after I booked the room they called to tell me that they didn’t have my room due to overbooking. And to call who I booked it with for a refund. Then 10 minutes after that they called to tell me they had a room with a king and sofa bed. Which I had originally booked a room with two beds. So I agreed and when we got there I was pleasantly surprised of how big the room was and it had two sofas that turned into beds! It was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids, so we had plenty of room!!

The stay was pleasant and my family really enjoyed it. Breakfast was great, coffee is tasty, great selection of food, especially was surprised by fresh and tasty fruits that were offered. Staff is polite and makes you feel welcomed. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

The stay all in all was good until breakfast... I went down for breakfast with a 1 yr old just to be told they don't have a high chair or a booster seat. How can a family hotel not have atleast a booster seat? It was a major inconvenience to have to feed her while holding her!!! And I have stayed here before but not sure if I will return!!! Major inconvenience

Great hotel! Clean rooms, family friendly, fantastic breakfast, and very kind staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

They should have told us ahead of time that the pool, etc was closed. This is a problem when our kids really want to go swimming.

Booked a suite for the family for an evening get-a-way. The hotel was clean for the most part. The pool area was way smaller than the pictures showed. The hot tub was barely considered warm. The beds were comfy. The biggest issue we had here was the Tvs in our room. With a suite, you get two tvs. The TV in the bedroom part of the room would not read its channel card. The TV in the "living room" area was damaged upon arrival and had a terrible picture. The front desk was made aware and the girl tried to help, but ultimately did nothing. After two hours of messing with both TVs trying to get at least one to work, we were finally able to watch one TV. The lady at the desk said she would give us a decent discount for our issues. Put upon check out, we only received a measly $17 which wasn't even 10% of our suite. That was super disappointing as we were the ones who made the TV work. When you go to a hotel, you don't want to have to be bothered with issues like this. The breakfast area was cramped which made it uncomfortable to enjoy. They had a waffle bar which was nice but no sausage or bacon to go with breakfast.
