Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Salem

I always stay here when I'm in the area. Check in staff is so great! A lot of kid sports teams stay here so it's pretty busy end of week, but never a problem.

Was hard to find staf some times they had sign to pick up phone and once you did another phone would ring but it was at desk and staf was no where near it if you wanted brakefast you had to be up rite when they put it out they didn't have any extra otherwise and pool was down the whole stay nothing for kids to have fun or stay occupied with the room was nice and clean but ac unit sounded like a loud off-balance washer and you had to have the strength of 3 men to flush toilet the flusher was so hard to push down we thought we would break it it was and wifi was spotty kept droping at one point i had to leave to finish my work it was a very blah i have stayed there on other occasions and it was so nice this time for the price i paid i was disappointed

Needed a place to stay on our way home, day 2, from a family visit in Nebraska. Wanted to be just off the interstate, and affordable. Made the reservation and then realized it was 18 miles off of the interstate. But it was quiet, and affordable. There was a pizza shop across the street.

The pool was closed first of all…which bummed everyone in the family Then we were out put in a room room where beds had not been made. The next room was better but the bed had serious issues. We had a tornado warning and lost power. Through that the staff did a nice Job and was as accommodating as they could be. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place but the staff did a nice job dealing with the crisis

The customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. The only problem I had was, I didn't know there wasn't an elevator to the second floor where are room was. The lady at the desk tried to help reaccommodate . We were traveling with 2 kids and needed 2 beds. I am disabled but managed the climb up the stairs.

We stayed here to attend a softball tournament in Paoli. The hotel was very clean. Two grandkids used the pool. Nice selection of restaurants within minutes of the hotel. My only complaints would be the minuscule soap bars, and the hard pillows.

We needed a place to stay for one night along our way for a quick family road trip. Check in staff was friendly. Price was reasonable, bed was pretty comfortable,room was clean,although there was a musty smell in the hallway. Our room was next to the stairwell, and the air conditioner was really loud when running so there was a little noise,but not disruptive.It was nothing special,but met our needs. Breakfast buffet was included,so that was a plus!

We have stayed at this location many times over the years because we have family in Salem and this is the only game in town, but no more. We will drive elsewhere going forward. The property is in a state of disrepair and is just plain dirty. And, please note, there is NO elevator in this building, so pack accordingly. You will be carrying your bags upstairs.

When we visit family in the area, this property is an extremely convenient place to stay. However, we only choose this property because of the convenience of the location. There is no elevator, so be prepared to haul your bags up and down steps. The included breakfast is weak. The beds are uncomfortable. But, there is no other choice in Salem, Indiana, so when we need to be back in the area we will stay here again I suppose.
