Comfort Suites Southport

My family chose to stay at this hotel on the recommendation of a friend. We were thoroughly disappointed with the condition of the room for the price we paid. Definitely not worth the $150 after taxes; would have maybe been worth 60-80/night. There was huge clump of hair on the carpet, several stains throughout, a broken sofa bed, and the soap dish had a soap stain. It was very apparent the room had not been thoroughly cleaned, if cleaned at all. We stayed since we only needed the room overnight; would have left and gotten a room elsewhere if it hadn't just been for overnight.

We were traveling to Indy for a family event. My husband is in the military, and our regular place to stay was booked (my in-law's home,) so we booked this hotel. It was my husband, myself, and three children ages 16, 13, and 11. The original room we were given was room 222. It was gross, the carpet was stained, all the furniture was stained, the pull out couch and mattress were unacceptably disgusting. The room was all over just a no. So I went to the receptionist and let her know how gross it was (kindly) and asked if there was anything she could do. She personally went and checked each room and gave us 216. It was so clean! A complete difference from 222. The only complaint is that the water in he shower didnt drain quick enough and we were standing in water. The pool is small but okay. The hotel is definitely older and needs remodeled. The elevator is slow, and could use cleaning. The staff were amazing and friendly. Overall, we will stay again, if my Mother-in-law's home is full again. The breakfast options were good, we have definitely had better and worse, this one is in the middle. The road the hotel is on is full of pot holes, beware if you drive a low profile car.

Overall good stay for our pass through Indianapolis. Front desk staff were all extremely nice and helpful. Beds and towels in rooms were comfortable and in good condition. Carpets throughout building are run down and ripped in places. We booked a room with a couch bed because of four kids traveling with one adult. The mattress to the couch bed was badly stained and smelled “off”— so we put three kids in one bed instead.

This hotel is close to family.

The fold out bed was broken and they knew about it already and said parts are back ordered, but I never would have booked if I had known I was going to have to McGruber a solution so my kids could sleep on a relatively level bed.

This was a very convenient location, close to the Interstate but quiet. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. It was a relaxing stop after a long day of travel. I would definitely stay here and recommend it to family and friends!

This place was very convenient, staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms are in bad need of attention though. There were holes that were poorly patched, the sofa sleeper was very worn. The beds were of the hardest ones I've ever slept on. And we heard every footstep, sound, voice from the hallway and rooms on either side of us and above us. I didn't try the pool myself but our children enjoyed it. Although the staff was great, we won't stay here again since we were unable to feel rested at all.

When we arrived the 1st room given had a broken door, sagging couch/bed, dirty carpets and walls. There was "stuff" in the toilet that had not been flushed. We complained and were given another room that was just as bad. This room had an open can of beer in the windowsill that we did not discover until the next morning. What if one of the children had found it!?!

Staff was super friendly, especially the guy at breakfast. The only issues we had were the door in the room we were in had a 1” gap on the bottom that you could see out into the hallway from and it was a little dirty. If your bringing kiddos with the beds are higher than typical, so if your kids are like mine and sleep like hurricanes, may wanna take some precautions. Overall happy with the stay.
