Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis South/Greenwood

This hotel was right of 65 with plenty of dining options and also had a great indoor pool for the kids

always love Hilton Garden Inn's because of the dining and bar facilities on site. Also pool and when available hot tub. Pool was freezing on this trip but i'm sure that was simply a maintenance problem. I'm not happy when the properties remove the hot tubs but I suppose one day no hotel will have them. staying at HGI allowed us to have a nice place for the families while i went to the convention center and did not have to stay in the convention hotels.

They are pet friendly which was a big plus for our family. Location easy to find, clean room, and friendly staff.

The fourth of July weekend is a big one for travel. So nothing feels more sketchy than booking a hotel! My stay for ONE NIGHT in a suite smashed my wallet north of $300. Did I get my monies worth? Hardly. The hotel is clean. It's easily accessed. Plenty of parking. But unless you truly USE every amenity you're given, it's not anywhere near the value. Of course I booked about 3 weeks ago. This was literally the ONLY room (of its size) available in the south of Indy that was a) not in unsafe neighborhood and b) anywhere close to where my family needed to be (for a party). The service was prompt and friendly. But again: I have stayed at "lesser" hotels with the SAME quality of room for HALF THIS PRICE all over the country. AND THEY CAME WITH FREE HOT BREAKFAST. So... I don't think I'll romp through this garden again.

Left an item in the room; called the hotel; sent a self-addressed postage-paid mailer; the item was returned via postal service. Was so glad the item was found and hotel staff sent it back to me. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was fun with the grandkids. All this made for a great visit overall. We will definitely return for a stay.

We were visiting family for thanksgiving. Everything was good except the bed and it was very hard and uncomfortable.
