Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Greenwood, an IHG Hotel

We were Sitting in the lobby with our family, my wife and 14 year old daughter. There was another group playing a board game. There was another larger group that was gathered of adults and kids. The group was talking and sharing stories, it was loud as there were many people together, but everyone was having a good time. At 8:45pm on a Saturday night, the hotel manager came out and announced the lobby is closed everyone has to leave and the football games on TV were being turned off. They then turned down the lights and asked everyone to leave. The family playing a board game asked why they had to leave and the Manager said the lobby is closed. I have never seen such poor and disrespectful treatment of guests who were paying to stay there. I would not stay here again, so many better places to stay, great disappointment Holiday Inn.

Close to highway and close proximity to family.

I would stay at Holiday Inn regularly however the walls and floors seemed awful thin. We had kids stomping around in the room above us till after 10:30 PM, not good. Don’t think you should be able to hear it as well as we did.

This was my first time staying at a Holiday Inn Express, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was quiet and immaculately clean. It was well appointed, with comfortable beds and bedding, a large TV with good reception, and everything I needed for my stay. The staff were pleasant and professional, and the property felt safe. Breakfast was a bit lackluster, especially as I eat vegan and the oatmeal was pretty watery. I noticed some good options for non-vegans, though, like a pancake machine that the kids there seemed to love. The pool was not in service during my stay, but there was a sign saying that pools in nearby sister properties were available for guests to use.

Two MAJOR issues: (1) there was no water available for a few hours in the middle of the night and (2) they ran out of cinnamon rolls well before the end of breakfast. I realize these things happen but their response bothered me. On the water they told us that was unexpected. No kidding! How about an apology or discount? On the cinnamon rolls they literally market themselves on how great they are (they really are!) yet they treat being out of them as if they ran out of grape jelly when they had six other jelly flavors available.
