Marriott Indianapolis East

I checked into this hotel at 5pm and checked out at 11pm. I couldnt even stay a single night which was frustrating because I paid for a non-refundable room. The hotel is extremely dated which was surprising for the Marriott brand. It is also part of a conference center which I wish I had realized prior to booking. The carpet was worn, the furnishings were also not of the quality I'm used to when traveling with Marriott. I was highly disappointed. I typically stay at the Courtyards so didn't realize the difference across the brand. There was a sports tournament in the area or something with a bunch of kids staying at the hotel. They were running through the halls, it was extremely loud, and very little supervision going on. I went down to the lobby to speak with the front desk and it was just worse down there. I ended up walking back to my room, packing up, and leaving. Oh and they charge you for parking which is weird for a hotel that is not downtown.

I stay here regularly when I visit family in the area. It is reliable, responsive, and by far the best place to stay on the East side near the interstates. The rooms are clean and well maintained or new; the restaurant is very good; the fitness center is well maintained and has everything you need. Easy free parking. I highly recommend it.

I was shocked to find they charge $10 for parking. The hotel has a parking lot outside of the city. I have never paid for parking at a hotel like that before. I'm sure it also said somewhere but we didn't realize breakfast wasn't included before the kiddos started on the buffet, only to find out it is $25/adult, $10/kiddo! Some silly charges that will make this a hotel I won't return to in the future.

Confusing between Marriott and Delta Marriott. Delta much nicer. Marriott was noisy, kid crying all night next door…walls thin like paper. Shower was so small I could touch ceiling (I’m only 5ft tall). Shower floor higher than room floor. I almost fell.

Felicia at check in made my family and I feel welcome. She had a very nice attitude that made this place to have a great atmosphere.
