Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hammond, an IHG Hotel

Completely bummed to find out pool is closed until May. We have 4 kids with on a very long road trip who were eager to swim. Very inconvenient and we would have booked somewhere else knowing this.

A quick family trip for the night. They had computer issues, and were very friendly even thought they were stressed. They apologized the system was down. They kept saying they were sorry it took so long. The guy at the counter was amazing and the housekeeper helping him were amazing. The room was comfortable and clean. I LOVE that there was Dove in the room. I would totally buy the comforter.

Great stay clean room friendly staff perfect for my family trip to Chicago . Stayed here because it was closer and alot cheaper however good time we had . Pool was also good for my 7yr old

Great welcoming feeling. The staff accommodated my family when we arrived at 5pm from delayed flights and still acknowledged our reservation. Great service and area!

Overall the stay was pleasant. The front desk clerk was very polite and knowledgeable he even wished me a happy birthday and asked how my night was. My only complaints was there was no soap in the dispenser, no face towels, only one side of the bed the lamps and sockets worked, the kleenex was left empty and the pillows you can tell were just thrown on the bed. The complaints were minor so I didn’t let the staff know and I traveled with children so I bought all my own things. All the children cared about was that the tv worked and that they could watch cartoons. We only used the room to sleep and bathe. We were outside all day. No loud “housekeeping” knocks on the door early the next morning which is always a plus! I would stay here again.

This was the worst hotel stay my family has ever experienced. The room smelled like secondhand cigarette smoke and some other nauseating odor; the carpet was damp and soaked our socks; they were out of blankets, so two of my children had to sleep with only a sheet and a fitted mattress cover that they gave us instead of a blanket; there was only one plastic trash liner in the room and they only gave us one more after our son vomited multiple times (due to the nauseating smell); the shower didn't drain well, instead filling up with dirty water; they did not refill the body wash container; and the carton of milk I drank at breakfast was rancid and chunky. But hey, what a cool experience it was to retch into the breakfast area trash can to get the rancid milk chunks out of my mouth. To say that our stay was unsatisfactory doesn't even begin to do it justice. From beginning to end our stay was utterly unsanitary and disgusting. We would have had a better and more healthy stay if we had slept in our car. Given the recency (and ongoing, in some places) of the Covid-19 pandemic, I expected a high standard of cleanliness and service, let alone just basic levels of sanitation. We received none of those things. I cannot give a lower rating to this establishment.

Good hotel. I’d stay there again. The fresh cinnamon rolls were a hit with the family.

We had a great time at Holiday Inn while we were on vacation!! Clean and comfortable and the perfect distance from Chicago! We road tripped in every day and had a 40 to 80 minute commute which was just right! Hot breakfast hit the spot each morning and kiddos had a great daily swim! The only thing that could have been better was adding a hot tub!!

Very nice stay along family road trip. Traffic along the interstate was very busy and we were glad to stop here for the night. Tomas was very good with check in and did an excellent job handling a very demanding and rude guest who literally ran in front of me to check in first. The breakfast was very very good with a wide variety of options and the lady working to keep everything fresh, clean and organized was also very good. Thank you for such a nice experience. We would definitely stay again!!
