Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Southeast/Hammond

I travel all over the state for work and once a month typically I have to spend the night overnight on a work trip. I've been doing this job over two years now and dread my overnight trip every month because I have a hard time falling and staying asleep because hotel beds are so hard and uncomfortable. I try a new hotel every month to try to find something better and while I have found some less bad than others none were good or what I would consider comfortable. But I decided to try out this hotel and I am not exaggerating it was one of the best night's sleep of my life, definitely the best sleep I have ever been able to get at a hotel. The mattress was amazing. It was as good, possibly better than my own mattress. I slept like a baby. The hotel was clean and quiet inside. I still give 5 stars but it is as close to the interstate as you can get without being on it and the traffic is loud but with the air conditioner on inside I couldn't really hear it. The hotel was just completely remodeled. Staff was extremely kind and went over the top. I asked the front desk lady what kind of mattress it was specifically and she didn't know but a few hours after I checked out she called me let me know she looked into it and asked management since I liked the bed so well and told me the website I could look for the mattress but my phone cut out when she told me so I couldn't hear her when she was telling me the name of the site :(. I was just impressed that she cared to look into it

room was very nice, but.....toilet was loose at base, kids were taking over the exercise room, had to pay for breakfast, and kids running up and down the hall after 10:00pm

Maybe I was unlucky but there were unsupervised kids roaming the hallways at night making noise. I couldn't sleep so checked out and moved to another hotel.

Hair in the shower, smelled like weed, pool looked nasty & smelled like a pool. Know the kids been peeing in it.
