Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina

The property is near our family who we were visiting. it is quiet and easy to reach.

Property was not clean, pool green with algae, service in restaurant was awful.. took 3 hrs for dinner at 530p. Front staff not helpful, never told us there was a complimentary breakfast served, we just stumbled on the room… no signs and nothing in their literature! Will not give you a room #, ask to be with family that was in a suite on 3rd floor but, they put us on the 2nd floor instead?? Waterfall pond is full of muck and sticks, can hardly see fish in it….clean up would go a long way especially since rooms are almost$200./night!! Games advertised are not playable, cornhole.. most bags are empty and cannot be used! Hard to believe it is a state park inn!! Definitely needs a major clean up!! Guess they make their money off the marina… but, should consider their guest also!!!!!!

I would give this thing five stars out of five stars but if there’s only one thing I had to complain about was while my kids were in the pool, one of the underwater lights had a screw sticking out about a inch and they could have got caught or hurt on that and form to the front desk. They said they were going to send somebody to fix it, but later that night when we went swimming again, it’s still was not fixed But the overall state was amazing. Staff was very friendly amenities in the building were great if I were to nitpick one thing it was just a screw sticking out inside the pool.

Cleanliness and room were fine. Parking was close. The TV had many options. However, they gave me a room next to a child's birthday party. After about 30 minutes of the screaming and very loud music, I went to talk with the front desk. They knew it was a birthday party already. Front desk gentleman, "I am sorry, there is nothing that we can do until quiet time at 11pm." I played a video from my room clearly showing the level of the noise. He would not do anything for me. I had brought a book to read and enjoy quiet time (one of the main reasons I picked this hotel knowing it is off season for them). He did not offer to get me a new room. Why was I given a room next to a known child's birthday party? Again, the gentleman at the front desk showed no empathy for any of my concerns. They were loud well past 11pm. I just had to turn the TV volume high. I never got to read my book.

Let me share what is not unique with this property. I am handicapped, when I went on line to make reservations the room I picked said accessible. The room we got was not. Fortunately we had family to help us. The room was clean the view terrific and the apology received the next day was appreciated. It is a beautiful setting and the facility is well maintained. We made last minute reservations and we knew our options were limited. But 21/2 floor flight of stairs was a an unexpected challange.

Beautiful location, right on Lake Monroe. Perfect for couples or families. Located inside of a state park (we did not know this when we booked). Staff was very nice!! Food was great!

Great family hotel with lake and marina views. Indoor pool ideal for families. My stay was in off season so therefor the on site restaurant(s) were closed. Boats and jet skis are available to rent at the adjacent marina.
