Sleep Inn Tinley Park I-80 near Amphitheatre-Convention Center

My family and I stayed at this property in 2021. The first time was wonderful. Clean and well appointed. We stayed again last summer and it wasn’t as great the first time around. This time was downright horrible. We had to switch rooms 3 different times. The first floor rooms are stuffy, musty and have a bad odor. The second room on the 3rd floor, the shower had no water pressure. We were switched a 3rd time to a room on the 4th floor. The room was ok, however, still had the musty odor, very stuffy, just not as bad as the first room. The drapes need to be washed as they’re full of dirty hand prints. The furniture is chipping the mahogany finish on the nightstand and under the tv where the fridge and microwave sit. Beds were comfortable so no issue there. We didn’t need cleaning the first 3 days and let the housekeeper know. The last 2 days we were out early before 9am expecting the room to be cleaned. We came back to a room that wasn’t cleaned, beds weren’t changed and made, trash not taken out… nothing. The staff from the front desk to the housekeepers and maintenance workers are so great and helpful and do their absolute best so that’s a definite plus. All in all, this place started out as a diamond in the rough, but now it’s just rough. A little Reno refresh would do this place some justice. If you need a place to lay your head for a night or two, it’s ok. Other than that, it’s pretty bad. Hope they can improve so we can stay again. Until then we don’t be back.

Clean room, comfortable bed, was on first floor off lobby but it was quiet. Basic breakfast fare included in price Annoying $10 early check in fee , I had to wait in lobby for hour to avoid paying. Low volume hotel, convenient location, great for price conscious travel but would not recommended for family trip.

This will be our new stopping point on the way to see family. Enjoyed our stay.

Hotel room floor had Cheetos on it and the floor length mirror was covered in dirty kids hand prints. I don’t know if anything was cleaned before we arrived. Bed linens could have been dirty for all I know.

The refrigerator didn’t work which I discovered after we were already there a day. When I reported it, a technician was going to come at 10pm. I had a sick child so I declined. They offered to switch rooms but because of the sick child, I couldn’t. TV remote didn’t work & needed to be replaced Room phone was not hooked up

Stay was not the best, but not the worst either. Bad odor in room when you first walk in, spent 2 days spraying air freshner in room. Front desk would not provide extra blankets. Breakfast was nice, my kids enjoyed that.

This is an excellent facility if all you really need is a room for the night. Our room was small but fine for two adults. Hopefully the rooms with two beds have more room to move around. If not it might be a strain with busy kids...Towels were threadbare (literally) but otherwise everything was clean and pleasant.
